This is an idea I thought I would throw out to the administrators and the group. I know from time to time I have techical questions that are not car related. It seems like we have quite a group of people who have knowledge about things such as computers, cameras and etc. This has already been brought up by someone who has offered to give us photography tips, which I think would be very helpful to members of the forum.

While I realize this stuff could be put in the lounge, which is a catch all for everything...things can get buried there rather quickly. This would give us one single place to post things like computer tips and solutions to problems others may have...camera and photography tips...sort of an off topic technical board like we have seen on other forums. It might also be a good place to post photoshop program tips as well.

Feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have to agree with CH. The Lounge is the most suitable place. Maybe if enough people agree with your idea and CH, me or anyone else are the minority, maybe the best thing would be a forum inside the lounge like the Dungeon but accessible by everyone.

I guess that's kind of what I have in mind. Add it to the Community Section where the lounge, war stories, racing discussion and others are.

I realize that this is a car forum CH, however, with the multitude of knowledgeable people here, I don't see why it should be a problem to have a small section for sharing this sort of info. I realize there are tons of computer forums out there, but I have learned to trust the people here...which is more than I can say about many other forums. So why not access our resources here amongst our HHR family?

Just thought it might be helpful to others to have one central place to ask these sorts of questions. I'm sure I'm not the only person on here that would benefit from a board like this.

i personally dont think it is a bad idea,, a sub forum of the lounge to get help from people you have become friends with doesnt hurt

we talk about many things here and its just another sub forum,,,, Johnny's decision not ours nor CH's.

only the moderators opinions and facts count. they can visit about it and decide

For future references: to me on something like this, you should post it and lock it so no more can be said and the forum owner can see it or email JohnnyB personally on it.

Why not just post a new thread in the lounge with any tech questions?:bow:
