I just need to vent some hot air here.
    :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:
3 weeks ago I took my HHR to the dealer where I bought it from for running boards and paint. They needed to paint the 2 back doors and the drivers door.(drivers had primer showing through the paint) They had it for a week and I got my baby back. Well to day was the first day that I got a good look at it and I'm not impressed at all. First they missed about 3 inches of clear coat from the bottom of the door up. On the drivers rear. Second there is air bubbles on the passenger rear door at the bottom of it. And third I can see some over spray on the drives front fender from when they painted the door. I just can't see how they stay in biz. With all these f#@k ups on my HHR who knows what else they mess up on. I'll be seeing if I can go to the shop in town here where I've been getting my warrenty work done. Man this sucks. Looks like I'll be with out my baby for another week soon.:bye:

Sounds like time to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (http://www.bbb.org/).

Maybe they would do the paint and body work after I do my suicide door kit. Who knows. I just want them to do something for me to make up for this.

Did you get this work done at a Gm Dealer? I've taken my HHR in Today for the second time. The work done on my door isn't even noticable. I took it in today for the bumper. They also gave me a life time warranty. I know i've paid more but heck i get lifetime warranty and am ensured quality work.
I pointed out today that there was something that was in the clear coat today and he was going to buff it out also...
i would never think off going to a little shop you might not even have any luck with the BBB.\\Good Luck

Don't take it back to the same place so they can Screw you over again.
No matter what the owner says the guy / gal on the shop floor is going to
be pissed off that he / she has to do the job over again. Or happy because they are getting paid double for the same job. Not sure which is worse?
There has to be another GM Dealer in Saskatoon that would step up
to the plate and do a good job. Find this dealer than go to GM customer service and tell them how you've been screwed over.
My selling dealer was an absolute waste of time over running boards and
paint. I found another dealer in town. I know this is allot easier to do in Southern Ontario but there has to be a GM Dealer that will do good by GM.
I was able to get GM to pay for one Running board and pay for paint job.
GM will step up to the plate depending how you deal with them.
Good Luck :thumb: :canada:

Keep on them. Look it over very carefully when it is ready. I went through something similiar when I bought my wifes Mazda. It was dirty from some recent rain when I test drove it. After it was cleaned up and we brought it home, it was dark. At home in the garage, I noticed something on the hood. Rail flash. I called the saleman back up and brought it back the next day. I won't go into detail, but it went like this when it was all said and done.
Hood repainted twice, then new hood installed and painted,
They damaged the grill and replaced that.
They damaged one headlight and replaced that.
Damaged the bumpercover and repainted that.
All in all, took 5 weeks to make me happy. They gave me another new car to drive, same model. We did get it back at one point diring all this while they were waiting on a part to come in (grill I think) and to hire new painters. I complained enough that the entire shop expect the manager was fired when I call Mazda Corp. Diring that few days we had it back, the wife too a trip to NC to visit family. They had a snow storm and somehow she caught two nasty chips on the top of the fender where it meets the A Piller. When the dealership got it back, they though they did that and painted the fender. :D SO I got that repaired for free. New painters did a great job.
Then, 6 months later, we hit a flying mattress that was unsecured (and soaking wet) out of the back of a pickup. So, at that point, we needed a new hood, same fender as before, front bumper cover, grill, headlight (other one at least), windshield and dash. And we lost it agin for 6 weeks in the shop.
Just hang in there.
