I wish we were going to be there! Late October is when we are doing the Fiero Coast Run out here though... I used to ride my Harley on the Trace all the time. It is great!

Well if we can get anyone interested this would surely be a great time of the year to go on a cruise down the trace. Some great photo spots on the trace, and in October the trees will be an incredible back drop for all of those pictures.

It will be a great time of year to cruise the Trace with a group of HHR owners.

Thats 2...!! I'm working on details for this run now...

if anyone has any suggestions on the following, please feel free to post them...

Starting time and point...
any stops on the Trace, or short distance off the trace...
points of interest along the Trace...
How far do we go...
ANY other suggestions are always welcome...

Looking forward to having a great time with this, it doesnt need to be complicated. We do not have to be on a timeline here... just meet up, shoot the breeze for a while, maybe get a bite to eat at our starting point, or make our eating spot a destination. Of course we will have to make time for drueling all over everyones car... LOL... but for the most part, lets just do it and have a good time...

El Gauppo,

That is a most excellent idea...! Count me and Sandy in...

Our club is doing an event on Oct. 7th for that very reason,
FALL COLORS!!! Look here! (http://http://www.midtnhhr.net/events.html)

Heck we may be up for joining you somehow. If I may suggest,
"The Loveless Cafe" up at the "head" of the Natchez could be
a good start or end point.

I am not all that familar with the trace, but I need to learn more
about it from a history viewpoint as well as a geo point of interest...

I will keep an eye on this thread, You betchem!!!!

After the Biltmore Bash, I will be able to focus on your run better. HAHA!

You can count me in if I can get off from work. Not that familar with the Trace but know it runs through MS and would love to meet up with some of you..

The Loveless Cafe sounds like a great starting point... I'm working on some other details for this run, I've got a few stops in mind along the Trace. I was thinking about having this run end at the Tennessee-Alabama state line, but there are a couple nice locations in Alabama, and Mississippi that would make nice turn around point. If anyone has any preferences, or ideas for that please offer them up.

Well first off I dont know where the Loveless Cafe is so I would need that into but I would recommend that the run end in Tupelo, MS the birthplace of Elvis. That would make it a lot longer but closer to the end of the trace. Natchez MS would be the final end but that would be too far IMHO.

THAT is a GREAT idea...!!! we can end it in Tupelo, at the King's...!!

Edited to add: Tupelo is not quite half way on the Trace, BUT... this would also make a great run for anyone from the southern end of the Trace... We could turn this into a real nice event...!! I'll buy the driver that comes the farthest distance to meet us in Tupelo, MS. the beverage of your choice...!! Yeah I know... but at least there in some incentive... LOL..!!

Same here, If I could get off I could at least meet everyone in Tupelo or might be able to get with you guys somewhere else. I think the start point would be a little too far as it would take over 7 hrs. Tupelo is only about 4 hrs from me. How about it I would really like to get up with some other HHR owners, just dont have the time to drive 7-8hrs and back.

How about it? What is the status of the Natchez Trace Run? Maybe El Guapo will chime in and update us. My HHR is in the shop for a week or so to fix the damage on the right side, I was side swiped in a parking lot by an unknown party but the insurance is covering the damage. Can't way to get my new insurance bill :( Anyway I should be ready to go in a couple of weeks if its on. Pending on my work schedule I may have to meet everyone along the way but that would be better than missing it all together. Either way keep us posted El Guapo... Heh maybe we can get Gnomey to ride along with us???
