I brought the subject up, so...

Today I talked to the salesman who sold me my HHR. He's the Internet Sales Manager at the Chevy Dealership in New Braunfels where Wurstfest happens. He's going to talk to the dealership upper management and a friend of his who sits on the Wurstfest organizing commitee about getting a group of HHR owners involved in the Wurstfest festivities; maybe cruising in the Parade or something similar. Maybe the dealership would be interested in sponsoring a South Texas HHR group/club.

I'd like to have some feedback from people here in Texas who might be interested in participating in Wurstfest. Don't know yet what goodies/benefits we might get out of it, but at the least we should have fun. The Wurstfest site is here http://www.wurstfest.com/

At this point, things are pretty sketchy, but if you think you might be interested after checking out the Wurstfest website please respond. I'll post more details as they become available:smile:

Count me in. I'm local, so if you need any help organizing, just let me know.

I'm interested. The only problem I will have is that the Lone Star Rally (Galveston) is happening the first weekend of Novemeber. Decisions, decisions, decisions......

Well Folks,

I heard back on Wurstfest - no parade :( So our participation will be strictly unofficial. I'll check with Wurstfest on what the minimums are for group rates and get back to you.

I'm sure we can make it to this. Its not till the beginning of November, so we still got some time.

Talked to the folks at Wurstfest.

IF we come opening day Friday 2 November between 4 and 7 pm we get in free, but that's only good openig day.

Otherwise, we need to start looking for copies of Texas Monthly, Texas Highway, or Southern Living since they are running two for one coupons in the September, October and November issues. Normal admission is $8.00 but we can do a preorder before November 3 to reserve and we would get $6.00 admission. So if we find a bunch of coupons we could then get two people in for $6.00.

Or we can just settle for getting in at $6.00 a head if we can get a pretty firm commitment from people before November 3.

Next step is for people to decide when we want to go. I'll put up a poll and we'll go from there...
