what does the buddy list do?
i added a few folks and the only thing i see different is a + beside their name in the list of whos online

From FAQ :thumb:

The buddy list is used to keep track of the friends you have made on this forum. By going to your "My vB Home", you'll be able to see which of your friends are currently online, and be able to send them a private message. Adding people to your buddy list also allow you to send private messages to multiple forum members at the same time. You may add any member of the forums to your buddy list by clicking this button in a member's posts.

The only part that works here is the following



JonyyB has at least one other forum that he runs, http://www.cobaltss.net/ , and I would bet that they COULD have the same features so he chose to use the same rules here to keep it simple.

The other group has a lot more features. It also has a lot more members, 9613 and counting.

He wasn't referring to you crowbar. :lol: Apparently what is on FAQ is not accurate. I haven't used it, so I can't be sure. My buddy list is my MSN Instant Messenger or PM. :thumb:

Earlier when I was playing with the buddy and ignore list I was able to add myself to my buddy list. :nuts: I have tried to be my own friend several times in the past and it wouldn't let me. :confused:

up on the lower menu bar, towards the right side, 'quick links', then hit 'open buddy list'. Simple hah!
