Does the CGS kit come with a new set of mounting screws for the Sensor?Or do you re-use the existing screws? I am thinking about swapping my Airaid , which use a new set of fasteners,and I seem to have misplaced(read lost) the original screws...

It uses new screws with a Torx head. Different threads too if i am correct.

I'm trying to locate mine now as I put a CGS intake in and may be swapping it back out for stock. I cannot find the screws and was going to post asking anyone if they knew the length and thread style/count.

I figure I'd piggy back my request here and answer yer question in the process!:D

The CGS is fun, in fact I just put SoCal's out law filer on it and am taking it for a drive soon. I put the Imco muffler on and will be taking it off due to excess cabin noise. I may take the CGS off too if it continues to bother my wife.

Also, I'm wondering if the cold air intake will be detrimental to start ups on cold winter days. I know warm air is preferred ASAP in cold driving at startup.

Aren't you happy with the Airaid, between the Airaid and the CGS intake I would think the Airaid would work just as good as the CGS intake.

The CGS intakes comes with a new set of Allen head screws for the MAF sensor, so you're good to go.

**Tip for newbies: when swapping intakes, it is always a good idea to put the stock MAF sensor screws back into the stock airbox holes, this way you will have them if/when you need to put your stocker back on for an inspection or warranty work.

Should I swap it out for warrany work I'm having done (hard starting), the service department is aware that the problem existed BEFORE the CGS, should it matter??

It shouldn't matter. Different dealerships look at intakes and engine mods differently. My dealership understands that owners today want better performance and mileage out of their vehicles, and they don't have a problem with most "over-the-counter" mods (intakes. cat-backs, etc.). Some dealerships can be more difficult. Sounds like yours is cool as well.

Yeah, I'm thinking that too, the guy I spoke with said as long as it doesn't "throw a code" it wouldn't matter regarding warranties.

They are a plastic thread style (wide pitch).

I would suggest going straight to your dealer.

I myself am happy with the Airaid, I have read all the raves about the CCG and was curious, IF I install it then I can compare for myself. and will then have one of the other to sell here !!!!

The CGS wins hands down.

Well I installed a CGS last nite and MY initial reaction is
#1 a bit louder than the Airaid with a different kind of wow factor roar
#2 the motor seems to pull better low mid to mid tourque ..I am sure the ECU hasen't settled in to the new airflow yet and when it does i can only say wow
#3 looks like I will have an Airaid for sale
