Hey that was an excellent idea, to pick a Ride Of The Month, tried to post MY candidate, the thread was closed??? So I`ll start a new one, anyone else think it`s a good idea?

After talking to a member (who shall remain anonymous ) the word RIDE means Car, Veh., Whip, Short, Cruck, etc. Not RUN, Cruise, Road trip.

I would say that ride of the month would be the featured ride of the month, once it gets back on a monthly track! We'll keep on JonnyB and not allow any slack/laspe this time!

Can we (mid-Central) have a car of the month for our Region only???

I suppose you could. Start with a "September Ride of the Month" thread in your region!! The author of the thread or a Moderator can make it a sticky. Then start with the next month, unsticky the old and sticky the new for each month!

I don't see why it would have been locked. I did not lock it.
The author of a thread can also lock their thread.
If another Moderator locked it, I do not know the reason(s).

A side note for others, an author of a thread can also delete it. As well as a Moderator.

Well this poll ends in approx 20 hrs. Got a lot of views, (12) replies, some suggestions, about 2/3 thought it was a workable idea (not even my idea ),some thought it was overkill.
I`m pretty much on the fence, mainly because the feeling I get (vibes ) from some members, that this isn`t a car forum, as much as it is a "But what about my personal life" type blog or something.
I`m really considering just visiting the site, reading, and not joining in, because you never can really tell what the response to a reply will bring.
Some clubbers have to actually be told,( literally ), that you are saying something in jest or it`s taken to heart, and all heck breaks out.
So with that in mind, having a car of the month, quarter, run, year,etc. may be more trouble than it`s worth.
With all the views but no replies, it almost seems like there`s only a couple people involved anyway.

Hey, we are the Mid-Central doing it everyone else's way just ain't us...The first of September is coming so I say start it then, I ain't afraid to be a judge !!! it's family and we can find a way to have fun with this!!! There's my opinion !!!

:D First I want to say that the Z-Man... He`s a real nut... But He`s my Bud anyway.
Maybe theres so many things being tossed out to members at this time, it`s just overwhelming. I know sometimes I have to stop and take a breather.
I think that as time passes, more members will feel freer to join in, not just read, but get invovled. Plus a lot of people just like their ride, joined to see what kind-a stuff we`re doing and talking about. Thats Cool too.
Deciding on the Ride (car) of the month will be a very difficult task, since we all think we have "The Ride of the Month". I know I do...

I`ve been in Love with my Cruck since day one, even started a YR-1 campaign. How ever or if there is a Ride of the Month,I`m sure that the owner will be Proud and Appreciative of the honor.
