You can save your dough for more mods on your HHR and use The Gimp which is free:

Is Corel user friendly for the beginner?

I can't hear The Gimp without thinking Pulp Fiction.

Is the Gimp user friendly for the beginner? And any software that reminds me of the most disturbing scene in Pulp Fiction makes me question it...:D

It's about as user friendly as Adobe Photoshop is..which is probably not that much.

I use a program called Paint Shop Pro to do all my graphic work. If it's ok with the mods, I'd be happy to do some for the group. All you would need to do is to provide me with your idea and I could whip something up for you. I can then upload them to my photobucket account and load them on a post and you can save them, store them online and all should be good. I'll wait for an answer from administration. If we do this, maybe it could be a sticky thread in the lounge or something. Just throwing some ideas out to see what we can do. I await a reply from the powers that be that make this the wonderful group it is.

Just a bump. Seems like quite a few mambers have signature lines much larger than allowed. This makes the pages hard to load for those on dial-up (yes, some members are!).

Please remember - your TOTAL signature should not exceed 100x500pixels in size. (mine below is an example.)

*BUMP* and a reminder.....
Some signatures are getting a bit out of hand.

Please make the edits if necessary and if anyone needs help in making these edits, PM me and I'll be glad to help make the changes.
Also, please PM me if you see one that is in need of 'review' and I'll have a lookie see.

Here are the guidelines for signatures:
"Signatures - should not be bigger than 500x100 and 100kb. Also, sigs should not exceed 7 lines if no picture is used. If a picture is used, please limit the text lines to 4. One "userbar" counts as one line. We don’t mean to be anal about sigs, but many users have slow internet connection and large signatures take a long time to load. If you have a big sig, and post multiple times in one thread, some members may not be able to load and read that page."

Just a question about this rule.........
Is it just 7 lines including pics and spacer lines?

Just right click, then click on properties. That will at least tell you the size of the images. After that, you're on your own!

SindyDix
10-03-2007, 09:19 PM
Right click your mouse over the image in question, then left click on properties located at the bottom of that popup, there you should see the size of the image displayed. Grumpee, currently, your sig is image size is 150 x 100 pixels.

It's tricky if your not skilled at mouse clickin'!
