We are proud to announce the release of a NEW billet grille combination from Stull Industries. Now you no longer need to cut up your stock grille to enjoy Stull billet styling! This new Chrome Billet Shell Grille is a complete bolt-on replacement. This kit also includes a matching bumper grille insert, giving you full protection for your precious (and expensive!), AC condenser.

The upper grille installs in 30-minutes or less with a complete highly chromed perimeter frame and billet insert. Lower bumper grille insert installs in 20-minutes (or less).

We have them in stock now and ready to ship, see them HERE (http://www.socalhhr.citymax.com/catalog/item/2608356/3487538.htm).

Stull's newest "no-cut" grille is sure to be a hit! :thumb:

We now return you to your regularly scheduled forum activities...

Two questions:
1. Is the surround shell plastic or metal underneath the chrome?
2. I already have the lower billet grille so do you carry just the top for a good and loyal customer?

Thanks Mike:smile:

John I'm sorry, but these come packaged together as a full kit. :(
Perhaps you can sell your's to another owner and get a whole new set?

Ths new grille's perimeter frame is a chrome-plated plastic just like the stock HHR grille. It has a very high luster finish.

Hope it helps,

Mike

Thanks, the grille looks great. I will probably wait a bit to see what "Songman" comes up with, but I really do like that grille. It looks the same as Dan-d's and I think that is the nicest grille I have seen up to this point on the Forum.
Have a good Labor Day Weekend. :D

Thanks John, the biggest benefit is that there is no cutting involved, which is a HUGE improvement over previous grilles of this design. We have been working with Stull for several months on this, so it is nice to actually bring it to market.

Enjoy your holiday weekend too! :D

Now that is nice.
Wish they could try and make one that looks factory for the lower part(think i saw one in a pic posted somewhere on the forums).

But this still looks nice.
Just cant decide if i want a full new grill, or just the bottom, or for 3 bills, buy an intake :D

btw : when are the chrome stubby's coming out?

Looks great Mike!:thumb:
I'm set for now with the stock and a lower one from Carriage works, but as soon as there is any trouble with the stock one, I know where I'll be getting the next one.
Keep up the good work.

why hasn't anyone develop a lower billet with the the border like the upper? For this reason, they still just don't seem to "match". The lower just looks incomplete in comparison and the rungs just end jagged looking. It would install and fit just the same which is why Im stumped on why there hasn't been one out yet. I'll stick with my stock and painted lower billet until I can find a billet set that matches the way I want it to

Sorry, missed this one:

where are your other grills on the site mike?

We have carried several grilles from different manufacturers over the past year.

Unfortunately, we have had serious fitment issues with grilles from Precision Billet and Trenz, and have tried to work with the manufacturers to correct the problems without success.

In our customer's best interest, we have discontinued carrying those lines.

Currently the Stull combo (upper/lower), grilles are all we carry and they fit the HHR very well.

As time progresses I'm sure we will expand our grille offerings, but our primary concern is offering a product that fits the car well and will please our customers.

Thanks for your understanding on this.

The two pieces are separate and yes you can mount the frame separate from the billet insert.

Hope it helps,

what kind was the one on your car?

The one that is still on my car is an early Precision Billet. Mine was one of the first ones; before we started having fitment problems with them. One day, not long after mine was installed, we went to put one on Kenny's car - and had to pull every single grille we had out of the box! We never did find one that fit properly.

A few days later I send Kenny up to Precision Billet so they could see what's what. They pulled a grille off their assembly line and tried to put it on his ride - no way, wouldn't fit. Then they called the "fabricator" guy over. He took a look at it and said "OK, I know just what to do to make it fit." He comes back 15-minutes later with a grille and puts in on Kenny's HHR. They say they know what it takes to fix the problem.

Next, we wait nearly 2 months for grilles.......and when they arive; they still don't fit properly! I take pictures, emailing them and explaining the problem. they try to fix them again, still no good. (Also, about 30% of the grilles we received from them were damaged in the box because they were not packed properly (just loose in the box so the top bars got bent during shipment). I finally had enough.

We then started carrying Trenz; and found out quickly over 90% of the Trenz grilles we sold did not fit either!
:wtf: (Starting to see a "trenz" here?)

I had one customer whose HHR was wrecked. He ordered the Trenz grille with the insurance money to replace his stocker. Even with new fenders and hood, the grille did not fit his car. He called me very pi$$ed because the body shop spent 4-hours trying to get the Trenz grille to fit - and charged him for the extra time. We called Trenz to alert them of the problemand were told "There is nothing wrong with the grilles - they fit the car perfectly." That's great customer service!

So many manufacturers today are just making "parts for profit" and many retailers out there are simply "pushing boxes out the door." Here at SoCalHHR's we HAVE HHR's, and we care about the satisfaction of our customers, so we will only continue to sell items that have proven to be of good quality and fitment. If manufacturers won't listen to our complaints and make the parts fit correctly; we just won't sell them. that's the way it's going to be.

I return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

The Carriage Works grille I have fit fine with no problems, but you have to be willing to sacrifice your stock grille.
