Anyone installed the rear deck spoiler on their HHR yet? Got one on order and will be doing the job myself. Looking for tips.

Sorry I had the dealer install mine, it was part of the package when I bought the car, expect that they did not have it upon purchase. So I had to come back for the install. It was very quick.

Installed mine too. The hardest part is drilling a virgin body. Make sure you tape off all areas, to avoid scratches from sharp chips while drilling. You'll need to drill a one inch hole. I had a 1" counter sink that worked great but if you don't have one you'll need a hole saw. Using a 1" drill bit might work but be sure to go with several pilot holes. I also painted bare areas to prevent rust with paint using a Q-tip. One more thing the kit didn't come with flat washers for the bolts, but I added them to spead the load more evenly.
