Hey folks, been lurking around here for a while with nothing really useful to add - until today. I do all the ordering at the dealership where I work. Today I noticed a couple of new HHR model codes: 1AT26-Panel LS and 1AS26-Panel LT. All options are the same as the 4 door except for a new 17" aluminum wheel. Don't know when it will be available to order, but looks like we are getting a 2 door sometime in the 2007 model year.

Definatly see a trade in the near future!:thumb:

The HHR is the only four door car I have ever owned.....
79 Pontiac Gran Prix
89 Dodge Colt
90 Suzuki Sidekick
75 Chevy Nova (2dr)
87 Jeep Cherokee (2dr)

I found the model codes on DealerWorld but it won't let me configure a vehicle. Is there somewhere else I can go?

Are you sure it's a 2 door and not simply the 4-door version without the rear side windows over the cargo area?

That would make one sharp looking panel truck! Especially with a side opening rear door!

Bryce- I found the options on locator. I can't configure one either. It's like the new Silverado, you could see the options and colors on locator a few months before you could order.

Also, the LS lists the 2.2 engine as being the only engine available and the LT lists the 2.4 as the only engine choice.

Several of them have been done by customizers. I would hope GM will notice how cool they are and follow suit...

Another 2-door concept, that was at SEMA, I believe.

Yeah, I like that one too with the Nomad slant on the B pillar. And that one would be a lot easier to drive without the big blind spot!

Oh man! I hope not! That thing is ugly! Surely GM has more sense than to just paint or cover the windows.

http://z.about.com/d/trucks/1/0/f/S/hhr_tunerpanel.jpg

I mean, if that is all they are going to do, they should at least use the SEMA entrant by Year One. They at least took the windows out even thought they left the rear side doors.

Looks just like something you would have! By the way thanks for the Anti sway bar I won from the Biltmore Bash. I must say, it makes a big difference in driving in the curves and the handeling on turns.

Nothing yet...
although Dearborn isn't my 'stomping grounds'. We, metro-Detroiters, typically see "taped and wrapped" (checkered or striped tape with body covering 'bras') cruizing around town quite often. I have a feeling this model hasn't made it off GM grounds yet. I'll repost if one's spotted :thumb:

Now... I'm not too crazy about the covered or lack of windows. Yeah, looks ok, but if you have anyone in the back seat... sucks for them. I also think instead of a 2 door version, suicide doors! Now THAT would be hotness!!!

looks like they did the window weather stripping too...would you consider it? I think I'd rather go with sheet metal over the windows and leave the rear open...i know Id have a serious blind spot too

That's also the place that does those skirt thingies and that dangeroso dual exhaust...I'll leave them to the PT stuff and take my chances with our vendors

I thought about the weather strip,,, then decided against it
My windows you can see out of.. this perforated graphics film..
