I know I'm not from your region...but I'm amazed at the difference in prices across the country. I filled up my HHR on Wednesday and felt like I got the deal of the century at $2.82 a gallon for regular unleaded.

Sorry to barge in...just wanted you guys to know you're getting a better deal on gas than I am in Denver.

This is for every one Deb, I just want to see if I am paying alot for fuel.
Cook County always has the highest price on fuel, after all we are the largest County in the USA.

It's Carlsbad, and we are south of Carlsbad. San Diego County usually is way higher than the national average for pretty much everything.... GAS especially

I test drove a LS 06 and a LT1 07. Only difference was the power due to the different motors. Only compliant i have is there is a horrible noise that gets louder with more acceleration, i dont remember the 06 doing this. Doesnt matter what i try. Im taking it in for that and the additional remote that just came in. Im also keeping my HHR, the Z71 i traded in got 11mpg in town.

The Wife said she saw gas for $2.49 on the way to work yesterday.
Do you suppose the car companies and big oil companies are in kahoots, trying to suck people back into buying big gas guzzlers again. Then go right back to the $3.00 (Plus) a gal. prices again? I wouldn't put it past them !!

Angelo
09-10-2006, 09:30 PM
Either that or the mid-term elections or whatever. The democrats are all over the republicans in the polls. So maybe its political, drop gas prices to make people happy, so they will vote republican

no peak travel season is over (summer comming to a close) so gas (big oil) is triing to hang in there for the profits!! lowering already way over inflatted prices!! Its all BS anything more than 2.00 a gallon is BS!! did you see the news today they found the biggest oil deposit in history in mexico over 200 million gallons I think they said and if it pans out gas should drop to .99 a gallon by this time next year they are saying!! so middle east countries BITE ME!!!!! take your oil and well you know!!!

Dec 21, 2007 Paid $1.85 got 30 gals. Honest. (normal price was 2.95)
reason; there is a grocery store that is based in Pa but also has stores in Oh. Whenever you get $50 on your store card you get 10 cents off a gal of gas from the station they either own or are affiliated with (Get-Go) . After 3mos you begin to loss the earnings and I had to use mine and got $1.10 off (max is 30 gal).
Maybe this doesn't belong in the mid central region but maybe there are discounts in the other regions the rest of us would like to know about.

I'm seriously considering getting one of those scooters for commuting, that you see them riding in the 3rd world countries... Okay... well maybe not. But when it goes over $4/gallon I'm going to see what interest there is in my suburban area as far as forming some car pool groups.

No, it's all the people taking out debt they cannot afford to pay back, driving the dollar down to the level of the pre-WWII Deutschemarke. If we want lower gas prices, we need to all start paying off our debt instead of taking on more.

Also, your Democrat-controlled Congress hasn't seemed to want to "do anything about it", and they're the ones writing the laws now!
