O6ChevyHHR 09-13-2006, 08:57 AM yea use tire rack and go to Americanracing.com they have an app giude. Discountwheelwarehouse.com is also a great website.
O6ChevyHHR 09-13-2006, 08:57 AM I am going to get 20 by 7.5 American Racing Casnios
KY Dave 09-13-2006, 09:31 AM I found these NASCAR wheels on that site. Will these fit my stock 16 inch tires, and will these bolt on my HHR as far as offset and bolt pattern? I was thinking of reworking that center cap with the HHR logo.
Man I like these wheels.

courthousedeb 09-13-2006, 11:50 AM They are the right size and bolt pattern, but the standard offset on the HHR is 42 and those are 38.
KY Dave 09-13-2006, 12:27 PM That's what I thought Deb, but I didn't know what that meant or how important that would be. I DO NOT want the wheels to rub when turning etc. I'm from the old days when a Chev bolt pattern fit just about any Chevy and you didn't have to worry about anything else. I know manufacturers will promise anything to sell a product and give you hell when you try to return it. I would rather not buy if it isn't perfect.
SoCalHHR 09-13-2006, 01:18 PM +38mm offset wheels will "stick out" slightly more than the stockers (7mm to be exact). While that might not seem like much, consider that you will most likely be going to wider tires, which increases the possibility of rubbing. Addittionally, the stock HHR wheels are really only 6.5-inches wide, so going to a real 7-inch rim does make things wider. I recommend going with a +42mm offset on 7.inch wheels and a +45mm offset with 7.5's.
Hope it helps,
KY Dave 09-13-2006, 02:46 PM Yep, that helps alot. Thanks Mike.
SoCalHHR 09-13-2006, 04:31 PM No Problem Dave - I wouldn't want to see you make a bad decision.
Wheels are a big investment!
Have you look at Centerline they have a couple of 5 star that will fit and they have a good price for 17in wheels at 159.00 each just look under Saturn or Malibu. at this address http://www.centerlinewheels.com/wheel_deals_detail.php?id=12242&type=vehicle&data=84
RUDEINC 09-13-2006, 06:13 PM If money isn't an issue Foose makes a real nice set, plus they are real close to what you are looking for. I checked into them for mine, but didnt want to shell out the cash.......Regards

Unless you buy 16's, the Foose's only come in 8.5 wide...which is quite wide for the HHR.
I looked at them before buying mine.

Yeah, some trimming would definately be involved, if the car will be lowered. Crowbar's are 8.5's I think.
I know these were 20x8.5 with a 35mm offset and 245/30/20 BFG's
SoCal, Do you remember what the offset was on the Foose Wheels?

Naw, but they were too wide for my application.
Search around - it's on the web. :thumb:
lilbloohhr 10-20-2006, 02:05 AM Wheel specs: 5 x 110mm bolt circle, 65.1mm hub diameter, +42mm offset (from rim center to outboard side). Now could someone tell me what the minimum clearance between the caliper & the wheel is? I got a good deal and would like to use these 15" steel rims from an '05 malibu for my snow tires (gotta save the aluminums - great white [salty] north, eh!), but I've only got about 9 - 10mm (~3/8") between caliper & rim with them on instead of the 30mm (~1-1/4") with my stock 16"s. There doesn't seem to be any interference but I wonder if there would be when things heat up, such as under heavy braking. Insight, anyone?
