Trying to install generic seat covers and need to remove the armrest. Do you just remove the cover and detach?

Just pull on the plastic cover and then use a socket to get to the bolt. I am not sure what size, but I did same thing. I don't like the armrests anyway and just left them off. They will come off easy.
