Why would you want a short throw shifter on an Autotragic transmission? That just doesn't make any sense whatsoever! :D

Exactly! Also, I just want a cooler looking shifter. ;)

A short throw doesn't necessarily move the height down. It shortens the movement of the shifter through the gears. You don't want a short throw shifter. You just want a shortened height on the shifter. That makes more sense now. HA! :D

However, a "short throw" for an automatic DOES mean a shortened height on the shifter. ;)

I have a couple of questions before I buy. Who makes this shifter? Do you have a set of instructions that can be viewed? And are they specific for the HHR? Does the knob come with? Is the factory knob compatible? If not what is the thread size? Is this manufactured for the HHR or is it another cobalt shifter that will work after modding? Sorry so many questions, but I want to know what I'm getting into before I buy........Thanks in Advance.........

I Think The Comments Are On Topic. We Automatic Owers Are Trying To Tell You Something. We Want A Nicer And Lower Shifter. Any Ideas?

Item is privately manufactured for us by an outside source. We will provide complete installation instructions as soon as we can get another test car. This item is MADE FOR THE HHR. This is not a Cobalt shifter. The stock knob WILL fit and the kit comes with another knob as well.

Note: We are in the middle of a build with Saturn on one of their Ion Redlines.... Since I am real busy with this project, I am not on the forums as much as I would like So please call me directly at 877-724-6682 if you need help asap... I now have the shifters instock.

Is this a shorter shifter, or a short throw shifter?

Any chrome? what kind of knob is included? I would like a white round old style:D . Just asking thanks. John
