I dont know if any members are from that area or close but if anyone wanted to meet up one day we could cruice and check out the area and see about some good places both for photos, meeting up, and even events that might be there.

If folks are staying over, we might even be able to get a group rate on hotels etc...

One of the buffet breakfest/Lunch would also include coin-cupon for the casinos. I'm also waiting for one of the local dealer's to respond back to me. I hope we can have a big turn out for this

Great Start! I will try to get some of us in the Mid Atlantic and South East to come. The ride up route 13 to route 1 is nice!

We plan to put a lot of planning behind this event. Afterall its Almost Oct and this event we would want to do March/April which is between 6 to 7 months away. Which means we have plenty of time to plan. More people will join. Plenty of time to promte it. Plus the more you see posts about it. The more intrests there will follow

Have you contacted the "events planner" yet..... She may already have this kind of stuff done for you....... the place she recommended, I think, is a great place to have a show, I have been to shows there before, plenty of room and things to do. A.C. is only about 12 miles away.

There is ALOT more to this than picking a date and showing up.....contracts, licenses, permit, insurance fees, parking, hotels, places to eat ( not evey restuarant will be able to accomadate 50 to 100 people at the drop of a hat), on-site vendors, sponsors, judges, clean up people, bathrooms, shall I continue...... I have done this before and I have helped set these things up, slow down alittle, I promise, it WILL come together....trust me.....

No need to worry about the planning part. We hooked up with an event planner in AC who will be helping us put this event together. :D All we need to do is provide her will our ideas and she will take it from there. Her knowledge,contacts & ideas will help us get this event off to a good start.
I believe We scored BIG on this find. :thumb: Then it will be up to US to show up.. When all is said & done it will be one hell of a meet. :banana::beer: :banana: :banana:

Hey I think I see my tent out ther in one of those pics. I happen to be down there at the same time HHRDE was down there. I was camping on the beach with the boy scouts. I gotta tell you, I'm not much of a PT fan but there were a lot of nice cars out there. I was thinking how sweet it whould be for us to have our HHR's out there.

I still have not been contacted back from that Local AC dealer

If it is a three day event as mentioned...it gives ppl the opportunity to do any of the different events. I would believe you have a better chance of a greater attendance overall this way too. They can do all three days, or just the friday run...just the dealer meet...or whatever. Im in western Maryland..so about 6 hours away...but Id be in for at least the Saturday meet and then hit the tables baby!...Booyah!

Well the Dealer would of been good for the Saturday event to Host to Car Contest's. We have other ideas for Friday night and Sunday.

How about an informal dinner than short cruise for friday evening. Those arriving Friday can meet for dinner (fast food, diner) then we could all take a small cruise together in the area. This could be a greet,eat and cruise!

We just received a commitment yesterday for the Smithville location 12 miles outside of AC for March 30-31 2007. Now we need a commitment from our members. Our goal is 50 cars to show up for this event. Additional details will follow, including event information, Hotel accommodations and other great ideas we have for the meet.

We are currently working out the details with the event planner from AC.
Our goal is to have 50 HHR show up. More details will follow, we are flexible and open to suggestions to make this a successful meet.

People from Cali and the mid-west have good turn outs. This is Atlantic City. Plus plenty of NorthEast states are under a day's driving distance. I do recomended this event. There are plenty of things to do in AC for the whole family.
