-md- HHR 10-12-2006, 11:53 AM Did AEM come out with an intake...
From Gravanatunning website (http://www.gravanatuning.com/applications/2006_Chevrolet_HHR_2.2.aspx/0/5032/_AEM_22_674R_Short_Ram_Aluminum_Intake_Red_HHR)

GDZHHR 10-12-2006, 12:33 PM According to AEM's website they have them for the 2.4 in reb, blue and polished.
LINK (http://www.aempower.com/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=1166)
Nothing listed for the 2.2 though.

Not a bad price. Too bad it won't fit the 2.2.
thedonn007 10-12-2006, 01:18 PM Why won't it fit the 2.2L? The CGS can be used on both 2.2 and 2.4, all you have to do is buy a longer bolt in order to mount the intake to the engine.
thedonn007 10-12-2006, 01:20 PM $150.00 ... damn I should have waited before I bought my CGS.
HHR PNOY 10-12-2006, 01:23 PM sell your cgs for $150 and buy the aem.

Ok now im confused. on the AEM site when you click the make etc... and when you get to engine it says 2.4 146. I thought the 2.4 had 176hp and the 2.2 has 146. Is that a type o or something?? Did anyone else notice that

The 146 is cubic inches. not HP.
GDZHHR 10-12-2006, 02:05 PM This is not yet available.
I talked to Chad at Gravana andthey didn't have any in stock so he called AEM. It is not ready yet. All they, AEM, has done is issue a part number and price.
Chad at Gravana is going to try to get a release date and will let me know. I'll post here if I find anything else out.
Flyboy6257 10-12-2006, 02:07 PM OOOPS my bad sorry.
SoCalHHR 10-12-2006, 02:09 PM Ypa. No intake from AEM (we did the prototyping, so we will get one when they are released). According to my contacts at AEM - their marketing department is confused.
-md- HHR 10-12-2006, 02:30 PM I want AEM intake.
I guess I'll wait.
61belair 10-12-2006, 02:31 PM Is the filter tucked into the corner like the CGS? Is there a heat shield?
FlintHHR 10-12-2006, 05:19 PM If you have some pictures Mike of how it looked installed, that would be great. Also, any idea on how it compars to the CGS Intake?
SoCalHHR 10-12-2006, 06:37 PM There are no pictures of it installed. AEM was very adamant about that.
As far as performance, we will just have to wait and see if/when it is released.
They couldn't get a unit to work well when we had our cars in.
The last I was told by AEM it was cut from production entirely.
They could not get a unit to fit both auto & 5-speed (due to their design).
No model ever has been designed for the 2.2L AFAIK.
Its just a waiting game...especially with SEMA around the corner.
61belair 10-12-2006, 07:06 PM I'll be at SEMA possibly Tuesday and Wednesday. I love going to that show. So much to see, one day just isn't enough
SoCalHHR 10-12-2006, 07:14 PM So will I. I always go multiple days - it's impossible to see everything in 1 day!
thedonn007 10-13-2006, 07:02 PM I wish I lived closer to SEMA, at least I would not have to worry about the snow ...
calgaryhhr 10-13-2006, 08:12 PM You guys going to SEMA need to scope out all the new HHR parts and dealers. Take the camera and snap some pictures of whats to come for us!
O6ChevyHHR 10-13-2006, 08:33 PM cool any better than the CGS?
GDZHHR 10-13-2006, 08:49 PM cool any better than the CGS?
As we've asked before, please read the thread before you ask questions. They can be answered before you even ask them!
If you had you'd have realized that it isn't on the market yet.
