I stopped by the Chevrolet dealer where I purchased my car today to talk about several things regarding my car and HHR's in general. I asked them when they might be getting one in and if they had any literature they could share with me. They said they had already ordered two (one with cloth and one with leather) and they should be arriving in the next 3-4 weeks. I will be giving them a call in about 3 weeks to find out status of delivery and will go take some photos when it arrives.
The also gave me some info they had received from Chevrolet which tells more about the package, what it entails, production numbers and suggested MSRP. I have scanned it and uploaded it to my website HERE (http://www.angelfire.com/co/ladyjarrett/2006HHR/HHR_Fall_Edition001.pdf)
Sounds like it's going to be a pretty cool package and not a bad price. Let me know what you think. I don't remember seeing this info anywhere else, so I hope it's helpful and sheds some light on what we should be expecting.
SindyDix 10-16-2006, 09:37 PM I'm digin' the black chrome!
It is available for immediate ordering, with an MSRP of $20,265. (according to autoblog.com)

I guess I'll stick with my "old" 2.4L engine with with 172 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque!
Someone forgot to proofread their text down at GM Marketing!
No matter, the new measurement standard shows the same HHR engine making 175hp (which 07 window stickers now reflect) - there have been no changes to the engine, GM was just "overly conservative" with their previous rating method. :thumb:
Ronzo 10-17-2006, 08:36 AM I caught that too. Figured no one proof read the release.
O6ChevyHHR 10-17-2006, 09:02 AM cool keep us updated!
is it just the mirror cover thats painted?
(kinda looks like it in the headon shot)
nfboy 10-17-2006, 09:34 PM I find it odd they did not go with black chrome mirrors to continue the theme.
courthousedeb 10-17-2006, 10:11 PM If you click on the link and go to my website, you'll see that it says Black Outside Mirrors Painted. I personally think that everything that is bright chrome with that package should be black chrome with this package as well. When it arrives, I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures to pass on to my HHR friends. :thumb:
MARMEL 10-17-2006, 10:54 PM I'm really starting to wonder if Chevy will ever put out a performance package on this vehicle. Yes, there are aftermarket mods that can boost up performance, however, does anyone think that GM is comitted enough to this Hot Rod that they will ever invest the R and D $$$ to really make this an "out of the box" performance machine? The styling has been nailed in my opinion and doesnt need a whole lot more. I love my HHR, dont get me wrong. But ........................
Mark
simca1955 10-18-2006, 12:25 AM MARMEL I couldnt agree more. I love the way they look but wished it had more umph. The SS will be cool but Id like to see GM really show what this ecotec could do from the showroom. I dont really look at my HHR as a performance vehicle, but wouldnt a low 14sec high 13 hhr would be swweet.:steering: But i do like the black chrome by the way too. The more diffrent little changes like those keeps them unique looking not so cookie cut.
Nor-Cal HHR Club 10-18-2006, 01:15 AM My wife and I stopped by ours on Saturday, and pretty much did the same as you did (go figure), and I asked him specifically about the Imperial Blue Metallic and the Golden Teal Metallic. He said that he added me to the call list (right behind the person who ordered the car), so we can come down and take a look at it.
It's good to have friends working at a Chevrolet Dealership.

courthousedeb 10-18-2006, 11:21 AM My dealer has the other two colors sitting there on their lot, or they did on Sunday when I saw them listed on their site. I told my saleman when I was there that day to call me when anything new comes in. He said, no problem...he loves seeing my HHR and always interested to see what's new on it. He's gonna be in for a big surprise next time...I've got 4 of 5 mods in the works as we speak. :thumb:
06hhrjr 10-21-2006, 06:26 PM I like the fall edition, does anyone know if they are going to sell the black chrome grill I would love to put that grill on mine along with the beauty bar.
courthousedeb 10-21-2006, 06:41 PM They are currently in production, so I would venture to guess that all available parts are set aside for those for now. Once they are actually released to the dealers, the parts may be available. However, they are only making 4000 of them, so that could limit part availability as well.
rhoss1 10-25-2006, 04:22 PM Hey I have a black one just like that! :thumb:

Black Beauty 10-25-2006, 07:02 PM I want a "Double Black Beauty" , with a Turbo/Supercharger.
Gonna call it "Stealth".:D
Snoopy 11-15-2006, 09:25 PM Was at my dealer yesterday, while doing some other running around. Took the 07' Fall Edition for a spin, for about 15 minutes.
Nothing new, except what they call Black Chrome, slightly redesigned tire wheel, and different upholstery.
Frankly, don't like it. The "black chrome" doesn't look like black chrome, at all. Looks more like Michigan winter weather road film...kind of salty, dirty grimey chrome. You really have a hard time seeing it as black, if your 10 feet away.
The car also has a stripe down the side that has a slight arrow shape to it. The stripe is in tape that is the dark metallic grey color.
I guess , as a positive, the 2 tone interior is kind of nice...and stands out better than the monocolor of existing models.
Just my opinion....by I don't think it is work the $900+ difference over the 2lt.
courthousedeb 11-15-2006, 10:22 PM Called the dealer where I bought "Smoke" to ask if the Fall Edition HHR had arrived and my salesman said he had one with leather. So I hopped in "Smoke" and went up to check it out. When I got there, Jeff (my salesman) told me where I could find it and wanted to see what I had done since my last visit. Opened the hood and showed him the painted CGS and fuse covers which he thought looked terrific. He said..."Deb, you're turning this into one cool ride." (well, he said something else, but since this is a family site, cool will work) I also showed him "Mini-Smoke" and he said I've seen those before, but never orange...I suppose you painted that too. I assured him that I had not done it, but that a friend of mine online named Karen had got it off eBay which he thought was very cool.
The Fall Edition is very nice...but I wasn't all that impressed with the "Black Chrome"...it's more of a smoky chrome look in my opinion. I looks great, just not what I was expecting. The pinstripe work is very nice and looks great. The mirrors are a painted shiny black like the car and the wheels are much different than the ones I've seen on other HHR's. The headlights also have a smoky film on them and they don't seem to stand out as much as they do on a regular HHR. All in all, it's very nicely done...but not all it's cracked up to be in my opinion. Here's some of the photos I took.

solman98 11-16-2006, 06:56 AM It looks nice. But I prefer my chrome to look like chrome. Seems like that was the point of having it.
NateZillaHHR 11-24-2006, 11:03 PM I saw one of these at the dealership when I was looking around and I have to say....the black chrome is ugly compared to the other HHRs out there
Black Beauty 11-25-2006, 11:21 AM Mrs. B/B likes it at first glance, I think the original rendering was more to my taste. Will look for one at a local dealership. Thanx C.H.D.
bigbear2k 01-21-2007, 01:59 PM Wow GEORGE NUNNALLY CHEVROLET in NW Arkansas

Snoopy 01-21-2007, 02:54 PM BigBear....
Is he advertising them for that price?? Just looked up his inventory from the GMLINK and at least one of them is MSRP at $22,000.
Just wondering if he is doing a dealer mark-up.
O6ChevyHHR 01-21-2007, 03:44 PM most likely he is...

I got mine at Holler Chevy in Winter Park Fl Mine was $22,095 MSRP and had a sun roof and cloth interior. They had it listed for $21,395 and we went from there.
I got them down to $20,795 and then my trade in a 2001 S-10 P/U $5700
so not to shabby a deal for me.
This HHR is the most fun car since my 1966 SS396 Chevelle.

greyghost 01-22-2007, 10:04 PM I thought the lights were more tinted...at leat in the pics I cant tell a difference!
Stovebolt HHR 01-23-2007, 08:30 PM Hey Greyghost I'm a Dale Jr. fan also. Are you talking about the headlight lens
covers? If so they are a very light tint of gray smoke color. The fog light appear
to be darker than the headlights.

fivestring 06-20-2007, 03:17 PM I picked my fall edition up about three weeks ago. I'm really really pleased with it. I really like the fact that I have not seen another one like it on the road in Charleston, makes me happy. :)
jescobe82 07-11-2007, 12:23 PM Got my '07 HHR "Fall Edition" 3 weeks ago. I have had it on one 700 mile road trip and am getting 27.8 MPG and it's not even broke in yet. I love the ride, the handling, power is respectable for a 4-popper. The black chrome looks really nice when cleaned up. The wheels almost have a "spinner" look to them as you are driving away. Specs---07 2LT HHR Fall Edition.....fully loaded. Has every option but roof rails. The stereo JAMS!! PT WHAT???? HHR is where it's at :one:
