Ghost Ridin 10-21-2006, 04:29 PM Hey I'm new to the site and currently own a '04 Jeep Liberty Renegade 4X4, lifted 2.5" on 32' BFG's. I am thinking about getting a new HHR b/c I dont use the 4X4 enough to justify my 15.5mpg fuel economy. If I got one I'd like to put on some 20's and lower it....my question is that w/ my Jeep I used a spacer lift (in order to keep the stock parts) and thus not void my warranty. You guys w/ lowering kits / leveling kits....how does this affect your warranty with the dealer?

longhorn 10-21-2006, 10:47 PM I havent ever driven the 2.2, but the 2.4 has power to spare, and still gets 30 mpg:thumb:
thedonn007 10-22-2006, 07:13 AM How much more does it cost to get the 2.4L again? The price was right on my HHR since the only option was the automatic transmission.
EasyRay 10-22-2006, 09:16 AM $650.00 extra for the 2.4 engine. According to chevy, for the 2007 model.

James06 10-23-2006, 08:27 AM Sissy??? My 2.2 will sqeal the tires, and I have an automatic. It may be a little slow in the quarter mile, but I don't have a bit of problem running with the big boys on the highway.

From your own sig.

Can't make up you mind can you....:one:
Anywho, real drivers shift gears :steering: :poke:

James06 10-23-2006, 11:11 AM 06- I'm assuming you were laughing because I made a spelling mistake. THat's hard to take, after looking at your sig:lol:   . If it was because I said "squeal (note the proper spelling) the tires", that is a normal saying down here in redneck country.
KY Dave 10-23-2006, 11:43 AM I "squeal' my tires all the time in Kentucky. I also "peel out" . I've been know to "lay a patch" sometimes. I've even "layed some rubber down" I've got a great 2.2 engine
Krejaton 10-23-2006, 12:08 PM Here we go...first we hack on the PT Cruiser crowd, not we chew on ourselves over who has the best this-and-that.
Can we all just admit that black 2.4 HHR's are the best and move on? :D
scaleguy 10-23-2006, 12:12 PM A 2.2 in the hands of a driver just might surprise the uneducated with a 2.4...you could ask the PT Cruiser with the 2.4 turbo that took an HHR spankin' from the Minister of Sinister...hahaha
