View Full Version : Welcome to PCMforless - Supporting Vendor
JonyyB 10-24-2006, 12:18 AM I would like to welcome PCMforless as supporting Vendors of ChevyHHR.net I have heard only good things about them from dyno shops in Ohio and they go around to different states for tuning events.
Please make them feel at home and check them out at http://pcmforless.com

solman98 10-24-2006, 07:20 AM I know in the full size GM truck world, they have a pretty good following. Would be nice to see the same happen to the HHR. A good computer tune can make a world of differance in performance and economy. I didn't have a PCMforless in my truck, but a Wait4Me, and I loved it. Beats a handheld by a long shot.
O6ChevyHHR 10-24-2006, 09:14 AM welcome to the club!
upOnGamE 10-24-2006, 09:57 AM didn't find the price or if they have dyno's for our cars
Curmudgeon 10-25-2006, 08:43 PM Look a little harder:

SoCalHHR 10-25-2006, 09:26 PM I don't think that's the right part Curmudgeon.
The 2.2L HHR uses an L61 engine and the 2.4L uses the LE5.
Perhaps PCMforless can show us what he has specifically for the HHR.
That would make things a lot easier for us! :thumb:
upOnGamE 10-25-2006, 09:34 PM yea what he said

The engine itself makes no differenance on the PCM. As long as the PCM is the same type/style as the stock. The one I swapped into my '96 C1500 5.7 was out of a '97 S10, 4.3. Once you fill out the worksheet and fill the VIN info, it tells them what motor you have. I have not seen one of their worksheets specfically, but I know for the Wait4Me I had, I basically told them to tune for best possible HP & MPG, remove 100% TM, raise shift points & firmness. I also had to tell them what octance fuel I would be running. Most will/can do a dual octane tune also.
SO, do the 2.2 & 2.4 have the same model PCM?
upOnGamE 10-26-2006, 04:07 PM just would like a dyno chart thats all
Alvin@pcmforless.com 10-31-2006, 01:44 AM Hi guys,
Thanks for the warm welcome.
We are trying hard to get dynosheets. We are still not quite ready on the mail order stuff for these HHR's. We've played with a few around here but most have been gas mileage/street tunes. Once I get 2-3 more HHR's in and a few on the dyno so we can actually measure its gains we will be full speed on the mail order tuning.
Having said that, we are extending our offer.. If anyone is in the Charlotte NC area and would like a dyno tune at an unheard of good price than please let us know. Our office number is 704-307-4227.
Thanks
Alvin
CHV_FRK 10-31-2006, 03:33 AM I give a BIG PLUS for these guys. I've had these programs in my b-bodies for years. They are great to deal with. This would be my first obdII experience.

jaysz2893 11-01-2006, 07:02 PM Welcome Alvin, now i can bug you here at at Speeddensity.org! LOL Actually people, alvin does killer work. my mail order tune along with a under drive, lower t-stat, and CAI netted me 47 RWHP on my Camaro. I can not wait to do the H/C swap and LT headers and have a dyno tune. My camaro should be in the high 11's by then. As for my HHR, untill i get all the issues sorted out i will wait to do mods. Will this effest the warrenty any Alvin? I assume it will...
Alvin@pcmforless.com 11-05-2006, 11:07 PM Hey!
I haven't posted over at speeddensity in a while. Ive been too busy R&Ding new tunes and we just finished a car for a magazine shootout. The car was a 00 TA that ran a 9.83 on motor!
Anyway, no this won't void the warrenty and GM will have no idea you ever had it done. If anyone has any questions please let me know.
upOnGamE 11-18-2006, 04:51 PM question got those dyno results yet?
