Do not let this stop you if you have kids. If someone can not get away without your kids or you still want to bring them they are welcome. Just a few of us want a break from our kids. This way we can also party

I gotta tell ya: I was at DisneyWorld for Christmas and there were enough rentals to look like there was a run down there!

I believe you! The HHR rentals were an epidemic this holliday season. Had family in town, and traveled most of Arizona... everytime I pulled out a card to stick on the windshield... I saw a rental bar code!

What hotels are you looking at? For this run I am going to turn things over to the wife and let the two of you work out where to stay.
Jason, Snoopy are you still looking at going?

We might try for a group rate if we find a place everyone likes

When I pulled the quote, it was for Red Roof Inn, the rate of 163 ish was room for both Friday and Saturday, and park hopper passes for Fri, Sat, Sun

I'm tentatively still in for this run. But not absolutely sure.

We'll be getting back from a 2 week vacation just before the expected run dates. Not sure if "the warden" is up to car travel that soon. Might consider going alone (if you promise the warden you'll keep an eye on the parolee) and I can get some business taken care of in the LA area also.

I am in for good or bad. march 2nd I have off but want to leave Thursday nite and get an x-tra day in the park.... Using the tax return for this trip HAHA! Was told there is a hotel 10 min walk from DL entrance. Not sure about anyone else but a group rate sounds like a good idea!

I do not think we can leave on a Thursday night. Have to get Patrick off to school on Friday AM and off to the babysitter after School.

Retro and "Spaz"...

IF I go, I probably can make Thursday night also. That way, we have somewhat of a convoy. After discussion with the wife, it appears she may not go. But, I may not go to Disneyland. I'll just take care of some business.

What is the normal price of the Disney admission (in case I make a last minute change)?

Spaz.....by my recollection...any lodgings within walking distance to Disney is higher than norm. I was thinking of Fairfield Inn, which is the economy bottom of Marriott. It's across the street from Disney and it is about $145/night.

a friend at work just went and she spent 500 for a whole week. I also can see what a military discount would be. I still have my ID and it doesn't expire till 2008!

If you are bringing kids and want some privacy, some friends of mine (and my daughter & family) are sold on the Residence Inn on Harbor Blvd. It's higher $ than some, but has a separate bedroom with cute bunk beds and their own bathroom. Oh, also a free FULL breakfast that is purportedly loud, raucous, busy, and delicious.

Funny you made this post today, Gina asked about it today. What dates are you planning on leaving? You say "we" are the boys going also? With everything that just happened, we are now up in the air. Keep us posted as we still want to try and go.

I am brining the boys. My folks are coming too, so I will get some play time when they will have the boys with them. Some of us have considered leaving the night of Thursday, March 1. Will be there from the 2nd to the 4th.

I am truly sorry for your loss, I hope you can still make it. I think we all need to have some fun! Too much serious stuff lately! :(
