Hi guys and gals..

I seen a few posts here and learned that the HHR has an electronic signal flasher as opposed to a conventional one. Does anyone know where It is located? I would think inside, under the driver side dash...Usually they are easy to find, you just feel around untill you feel the click, but the electronic ones are silent except for the hook-up to the front drivers speaker ( I was ready to pull the door panel! Good thing guess I would have been dissapointed to not find it! ) I would appreciate any help!

I don't believe there is a flasher unit. It's controlled by the computer if I'm not mistaken. :confused:

the bcm controls everything, dome lights, door & key ,headlight chime ect. ect. and a lot more

And it all goes through the radio. A special interface is needed to retain the chimes, turn signals, On-Star, cell phone, etc if you want to change the head unit. Two are available-for either the standard radio or the premium set up with the amp in the rear. But be warned that you may get alternator noise if you use the HHR amp with an aftermarket radio. The recommended solution is to get the GMOS 3 adapter and use the internal radio amp or an external amp. Then, according to what the Metra tech person told me, you will have to install a separate speaker for the OnStar, chimes, etc.

I plan on doing that as soon as I get a chance to run all new speaker wires to the 4 doors.
