How about a G2G on Florida's "Forgotten Coast"? Last weekend,Susie and I finally got around to visiting Apalachicola,a wonderful little town on the Northern Gulf Coast.http://http://www.apalachicolabay.org/ (http://www.apalachicolabay.org/)We just fell in love with the town and the area around it.There are many antique shops and seafood resturants to be visited. The history of the town is interesting as well.We will probably point my HHR "Rebel Grey" in that direction soon and stay on St.George Island for about a week. The "off season" rates for a cottage on the beach are not too bad.http://www.resortvacationproperties.com/Anyhow,let me toss this idea out there and y'all tell me what you think. How many of you might be interested in a long weekend visit to this wonderful piece of "Old Florida"? A tenative time might be President's Day weekend the 17th,18th and 19th of Feburary.Besides the cottage rentals on St.George Island, there is this wonderful bed and breakfast called "The Gibson Inn" that might be a good place to stay.http://www.gibsoninn.com/ There is also a Best Western in town for those who might like newer accomodations.
