Ive been searching for a few days now and I cant seem to find what I want. Ill be getting an HHR here this year after some debt is been payed off. I came from Cobaltss.net and had a nice 2.0SS/SC that I had to sell when I bought my new house. :-( Bye bye 13 sec car.
Anyways, lets say I wanted to put 20x8.5 with a 42mm offset on an HHR. What is the largest size tire you can put on there if you werent going to lower it? Im sure if I choose a different offset you could prolly squeeze a little more tire on it but who knows out there?

Welcome to the site my friend!
I am running 225/30r20 and the side wall isn't straight up and down
That doesnt sound good. I ran 255/35/20 on my xtreme and I loved that size. I hate how the tire bows in.

Try this site. I've posted it before, but I don't believe anyone's paid much attention. You can put in all kinds of specs, and it will show you results.

We are using a 245/30/20 on a 20x8.5 wheel and you can see how close the top of the tire is to the bottom of the strut. Tire works out fine, no rubbing when turning left to right or under hard cornering. Good luck.

The wheels and tires are for Sale. They are like Brand new. They have about 6k miles on them and have been sitting in the spare bedroom. Nothing wrong with them she took them off for the winter and then sold the HHR. The wheels are not scratched or dented, or scuffed. They come with center caps, lugs and hub centric rings. Tires have no neg camber wear and are balanced and ready to install. $1200.00 Local pick up or pay for shipping. Thanks
