That wood reminds me of all the oak in my parents house. It's pricey but beautiful. Love oak!!! :thumb: :thumb:

This is possibly the sweetest HHR I've seen.

Found it doing some casual searching and thought I'd bump it for others to see.

Now that's a custom HHR...........none of this bolt-on crap!;) Can we get a shot of the other side? I'm guessing you left the drivers door a single and just shaved the door handle?

Hi BigMoCats,

Can you clarify what you ment about the bolt on crap? not referring the the HHR built at the pit at the top of this thread right?

If so, the Snake Pit HHR was built BEFORE GM even made an HHR panel, it was all hand made including the wood deck. Nothing bolt on there...windows shaved, doors shaved...gull wing all hand made buddy! It was actually this and other panel conversions that inspired the new panel hhr.

btw, the HHR in your pic is great, props there :)

I believe he was giving you props on a very nice job, and that all mods are functional, and not just stick ons.

Agreed! That is exactly what I meant! Most car folks add a few bolt-ons and stickers and think they've got a show car or "hot rod".

And all you need is (in no particular order) time, money, and skill. In copious quantities.
Almost forgot - creativity, imagination and organizational skills. They figure in there, too.
My personal inventory comes up woefully short.

But my sense of appreciation is intact. That's one awesome HHR!
