I believe Nexen is a budget minded persons version of the more expensive yokahamas. I've never known anyone using them though so I can't say.

I have a set of Nexen 235/40R18 tires. I've had no problems with them. I've only had them on the HHR during the summer months. :thumb:

I see you have low profile tires. Do they make for a rough ride ?

Is it me, or are those pretty good prices?

Being in the tire industry for over 15 years; I have seen off brand tires come and go. I personally have delt with nexen tires never really seen any problems other than wet weather traction, and longevity.

I also noticed they do not offer any kind of road hazard/ workmanship defect warranty on their products.

Try these they both offer this.

The ride really isn't bad. The wheel size is 18 x 7.5. I feel I have more response from the tires because they are slightly wider. During the winter, I use 17" polished rims and tires.

Those of you that have the stock 17" wheels, what is the factory stock size tire? I have 16's on my HHR, but saw some 17's I like. I don't want the speedo to be off or the Chevy dealer to blame tire size for any problems while under warrenty.

I just purchased some NEXEN tires for my Escalade. These were 305/40/22 though. I actually had Pirelli Scorpions on them and in comparison, the NEXENs ride feels much better, and is about half the cost of the Pirelli (if you go to the right place)

I will surely get NEXEN for my HHR once these Falken tires wear down.
