Maybe they will BOTH come and have some fun with us on July 21, 2007 at DejaVous Rendevous. It would be great to see a wide variety of mods on the HHR's so people can see that no matter what they do to them, they all look GREAT. Remember the event is limited to 30, so get your registration in ASAP

See ya down the road.

JX3...funny you mention Snakepit & I going head to head. We were both at the Laughlin Nv. hhr/pt cruiser river run March 8-10 with several other HHR's. But for trophies we took ourselves out of it because we are both heavily sponsored & didn't think it would be fair to the owners that were not. But if we didn't take ourselves out, snakepit would of finished 2nd & I would of got 1st according to the voting :thumb: they have a fine hhr as well. Thanks again everyone for the nice words & cking it out. I like to also say a special thanks to HILLSDALEHHR for helping with post information & pictures. No way I could of done it on my own.

Chip/Module is by a very well known performance company in Calif. But not yet available to the public. I'm testing it out for a year for them but so far everything fine & def. tell the difference in power. From my understanding if all goes well, will be available sometime in 08 for cost between $300. to $500.

First, I want to thank everyone for all the nice words & votes on May feature & honor. Second, as for being sponsored, that's available to every car owner out there. It took me six years to get where I'm at through allot of very, very, hard work. I tell people if you have the money much easier to go that route then sponsored. Course then if you go the money route, you have other owners unhappy there too, for the ones that can't aford it. I hear that all the time at shows from the ones that don't win cause some guy or gal spent 50K on their ride. Not trying to be rude, so please no one take it that way. Just trying to help here & help explain. As said, I worked hard to go the sponsored route because I love cars & car shows and don't have that kind of money to custom it out. And speaking of car shows.....I had the pleasure of hanging out wih Sindydix at the calif. Truck jam in Irvine yesterday. What a great time & day, except weather was so hot. Just wanted to say thanks again Sindy, and especially thanks for the water & snacks. Next time I'll make sure I don't leave my cooler in the truck way out in the parking lot.... Thanks again everyone for the May feature honor & words....:thumb:

I just had to add my 2cent. I had a better idea on the grill (I thought) more simple & clean looking. But GM ask me to come up with a different grill idea, so I based it off a 53/54 chevy truck & just tweek it a bit, since they were so high on the front end look of the HHR. Anyway, the grill on there now was one of the main reason's GM award me the car for $1.00... :D

Great car, no need to worry about the haters..it is sweet and the best HHR to date, I know getting sponsered is a big pain in the the butt, I did it in the 80's when showing Camaros it is lots of time and work.. so congrats!!! My question is... how the hell did you get 22'' on that thing, I have 20''s, eibach lowering springs, and it rubs. No room at all.
Btw, love the doors..can they make the back doors go opposite?

Thanks for the input, very nice of you. 22" (235/30/ZR22 fit great & no problems or rub. Have another friend with 22" on his ride & no problems. he did trim his inner fender well (rear) 1/2" so it would drop super low with air bags. on back doors, they were suppose to be opposite (suicide) but ran into time problem last year getting ready for seam so had to pass on it. but one good thing if I decided to do an HHR panl. for 08 sema then things that did not get done on this HHR I will do on the panl.

Paint job was done by Doug Starbuck in Riverside Calif. He had done work on my other ride as well. HHR Top: H.O.C. candy pearl tangerine orange. HHR Lower: PPG silver with 8-color prism micro-flake. just an amazing paint job in the sun an in person. Sindy Dix can testify to that:thumb:

Here in Az. no problem, not sure in the rest of the states. then again I also don't have to worry about smoging the vehicle, tint, and other things. If I was living in Ca. it would be a whole different story....
