Toms, yeah and I am ready !!! I am going to get the pics necessary to set up the final big announcement and get the buzz started. Sponsors are doing nicely and now some of us are beginning to work the locals, our dealerships, etc to see if we can get some more trophy sponsors...I am getting there hopefully before noon Saturday, in fact I am starting to think that going up Friday afternoon might be the plan. I will let you know a definite plan by Monday. Looking forward to seeing you again, so be careful and I will see you then. I hope that your young lady is recovering well and that she has a good prognosis, give her our wishes for a full recovery...Pat

I am also going to try to put the form on the club web sites...Looking forward to meeting you...Hey there is a BBQ on Saturday June 9th at father57's place just north of Chillicothe, Ill. and some of us are going to a show in Peoria, Ill on July 21st in case you might be interested...Pat

I have to say, I need to fill out the form, if I haven't sent it already (losing my mind today). With that being said, I will be competing in my "batmobile" hhr. I also will be giving away (maybe for the contest) a 3rd brake light HHR logo sticky thingy, and a "spears" kit for the HHRs. I decided to do something else with my vehicle, once I received them... :)

Got my ChevyHHR.net sticker today, and I put it on!

BG sounds great, please make sure that you have your hotel reservations made if you are planning to stay at the Howard Johnson's (the host hotel) as they are lifting the hold on room remaining in our block as of August 2. Thank you for the sponsors donation as well that is fantastic, we are nearing thirty sponsors and counting with submissions on a nearly daily basis. My big focus now is getting all of the trophies sponsored (a personal goal of mine...) Let me know if you need anything...

ScaleGuy, is there a "Agenda" or something so we can know where things are and when they are happening for the dells weekend?

Hope this helps you some.

Okay, let's see...Friday afternoon (the times are being left open until we see who is in on Friday) We have a mini-golf tournament at Pirate's Cove (they are providing reduced admission), then a go-cart grand prix at Riverview World Amusement park (they provided the free waterpark tickets and you can upgrade to the amusement park as well for $8.75) a cruise of about thirty miles round trip including a stop at a "junk shop" with a really cool sculpture garden (sculptures of old car parts and scrap metal), dinner at Moosejaw Pizza and brewery (they have the PT Cruisers with the Moose on top)...and finally just hangin' out at the hotel...Keep in mind no activity is required and there are tons of Dells activities including night clubs, a casino, etc.
Saturday at 9:00 am, the HHR Olympics (fun, silly games, like egg toss, creeper races, Hot Wheel races etc...) the Show and Shine 12:00 to 4:00 pm and then the cruise and cookout at Devil's Lake State Park ($5.00 fee to be in the park and anyone who knows this group knows that there will be some great dishes !!!) , return to the hotel for more hangin' out or Dells nightlife.
Sunday is a more open day to hang out and say good bye to friends new and old, and enjoy the Dells activities, shopping (we have discount coupon books for a nice outlet mall), or whatever comes to our minds...The idea was to have enough HHR related stuff to keep us involved, but to allow for free and family time too...

Wow, does that sound good. We just finished a show in Alabama. 110 degree heat on the way south. Blew out a trailer tire on the way down. Then we had an electrical problem and lost our air conditioning for the weekend. This morning we got the air fixed and were 50 miles on our way to Wisconsin and blew a tire on the motor home. That was another 4 hour delay. Even with all that, we still made it almost to Kentucky. With no more problems, we should pull into the Dells sometime on Thursday. We are so looking forward to meeting all the HHR folks.

Linda and Bill

PS Autotecnica contacted us today and they just received their first shipment of their new bumper trim for the HHR. They shipped what sets just came via air to us for the Wisconsin Dells show.

Tom, we had a good trip home other than early fog and the 1 hour traffic jam near Gary, In. due to flooding from Thursday/Fridays rain. We are both ready to crash. It was great to meet you as well and hope to see you again.

The Dells was a great time as were the people. Congrats to Donbb82 (Kathie) for Best of Show, Tcstoy (Tony) for People's Choice, and shaginwgn (Grey) for Best Engine and all the other winners of their classes.

Pat, you did an amazing job creating this event and deserve . Tell Rita we had a blast with her and hope to be able to do it again.

Pat, all I can say is Thank you Thank you Thank you. Chris and I had a wonderful time. The people in attendance were great. The sponsor support was amazing. Chris and I hope to be able to attend some more of these events in the future. You all are a bunch of nuts    :D
Never did get to tell you guys about the casino. First thing as you walk they had a game where you could win a car. Sitting pretty up on a platform was a Black HHR :one:

I am so bummed that I couldn't make it out to the Dells. Had prior commitments as artist in residence for two Corvette clubs this weekend. Hopefully, the next event will be easy for me to attend. I drew eight Corvettes this weekend and the ones that saw my HHR Panel (Chevy's other two-seater) loved it. Since the drawings take an hour and a half to do, I did well. I so want to draw HHRs next time.

For those of you that don't know - I'm Pat's son.. The heavily-tattooed gentleman that spent the better part of the show climbing random objects and taking pictures of your rides. After my long and tedious ride home, I took some time to sort through what I took and here are my results... While these pictures aren't massive, some might not be 56k friendly. Since there are so many, I'm going to categorize them according to who's truck it is.

Thanks for letting me come out and shoot you guys in action. I had a lot of fun. :)

Individual shots first. Group/Show shots after.

The final count, 14, seems like the normal count for us and right around the record for our stuff at around 16 or so...There is a philosophy that has been adopted by many in this group, "numbers will take care of themselves, with the real importance being in the people"...Gee, maybe we have a record for door prizes, or possibly the number of people who were stuck between the connecting doors in our rooms...hahaha...
