I picked NASCAR because that's what I'm paying the most attention to this year. In the past I have been an NHRA fan, and have attended several Nationals events at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kansas. I even got a chance to meet John Force, and he was great! I would love a chance to attend a NASCAR event this year, but I'm not sure if that can make it happen. The year is pretty busy with planned vacations and my kids little league baseball games and swimming lessons.

Oh and BTW I have became a big Tony Stewart fan.

I'm on the fence about Stewart, I dislike Gordon.
Fan of Kenseth, Jr and Kahne. Jimmy J and Biffle are ok too.

I'm a die-hard NASCAR fan...but most people already know that. Favorite drivers are Dale Jarrett #44 and Tony Stewart #20. My HHR is nicknamed "SMOKE" like Tony and his orange Home Depot Chevrolet.

Don't really follow any of the others. I have on occasion watched the show Driving Forces though. That's a great show and John is a hoot.

Ragan earns his first NASCAR pole for this Saturday's race in the O'Reilly 300.
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) -- David Ragan earned his first NASCAR Busch Series pole Thursday night, edging Roush Racing teammate and series points leader Carl Edwards.
Ragan ran a lap of 191.063 mph on the 1 1/2-mile, high-banked Texas track, nearly 2 mph faster than Edwards, who qualified second for the O'Reilly 300 on Saturday.
The fifth of 44 drivers who tried to qualify, Edwards posted an early lap of 189.354 mph. That looked as if it would hold, with nobody getting any closer Casey Mears at 187.872 mph until Ragan took the track 34th.

It was not listed but I enjoy motorcycle road racing the best.Been to Daytona several times for Bike Week and had a great time everytime I went.As far as the others,I guess Nascar would be my favorite form of four-wheel racing.I am following Martin Truex currently because we both grew up in the same area of New Jersey.I also enjoy off-road stuff like the Baja 1000.

Die hard Intimidator fan here...when he died I have never really followed NASCAR like I did when he was racing..and I was a HUGE Nascar fan......

I still will watch it if I happen to be at home and it is one but I don't make it a point to make sure I am home to watch a race like I used to. Junior doesn't do it for me either...it is sad to see how some of the older racers are doing so badly now...DJ, Labonte etc.....how far they have fallen

I like drag racing, but you forgot the most fun racing, the dirt trackers! In the mid 70s I drove a mini-modified when I was in Hawaii for two years.

Ya get dirty in the Dirt.

Drag racing!! noting like 14000 hp blasting by you !!!! you can truely feel the power!!

there is more power in one cylinder in a top fuel funny car than in an entire nascar motor!!

took the wife to her first real drag race 12 yrs ago and she was impressed when the power of the top fuel cars would knock drinks off the stands when they took off!!!

HUGE Dale Jr. fan. I am however a carryover Sr. fan. It was a sad sad day when the black 3 car went down. NASCAR just isn't the same, but I still watch. I have went to every Talladega fall race since '93. Not going this year. Getting too expensive and I always went with my dad who passed away last month. Pretty much ruins it for me. Maybe that's why I love my Fall Edition BLACK HHR!!! Got the looks and reminds me of The Intimidator!!! Haven't named it yet. I'm thinking either Vader or Cyclops. Any opinions??

I voted Drag, we attend a few IHRA events in Grand Bend and know a few local racers. I am keeping up more and more with NASCAR. Stewart, Johnson, Gordon are the guys I like (chevy drivers). Can't stand that Kensith Ford guy! I watch F1 and Indy too. Could watch Danica all day :)

Drag : IHRA pro mods http://www.promodifieds.com/ nostalgic cars going over 200 mph in the quarter...I like all other drag racing too.
None of that cookie cutter all cars have to be the same stuff.
And on top of that if a certain driver (8) isnt high enough in points more spots (2more) are not created to get them closer to the final run or whatever Nascar calls it. And this happens right before the final "qualifying" race?
But every person for themselves as long as you enjoy it.:thumb:

IndyCar, Sprint Cars, Midgets, F1, are all racing series I prefer.

When and where I grew up, Fendered cars/trucks were used to get to the races or haul the race cars. :D If you raced a fendered car, well it was just cause you were not ready for a real race car yet.

...Fast Forward to today...

Now it seems NASCAR is the place to race, even though the cars all have fenders. All the guys that used to race real race cars are trying 'em out, so I guess there must be something to it.

But seriously...... NASCAR is OK, I just prefer open wheelers.

My fave is Drag Racing. Been to several NHRA events. My ex used to race a 57 Ranchero. Current hubby and I got married at the tree on the Friday of the Seattle NHRA event back in 1998. Minutes later the first set of cars raced down the track.

Nascar - Been a Petty fan for over a decade. Both the King and Kyle. Yes, I know Kyle didn't get his daddy's racing gene, but he is a great guy on and off the track with the charities he does.

Also have been a huge Junior fan since being able to meet him at a Busch race in the early 90's before he graduated to the (then) Winston Cup.

Drar racing all the way. Been around it since birth and now do it as a second job. My dad and I field a 2 car team that we both split the duty of driving them. Sometimes we double enter both car. His is a 69 nova and mine is a 90 Camaro. We just finished a 69 Camaro and just started a update of a 55 chevy. Just can't get enough of it.

I would keep up w/ it on the news until Jarrett went to the booth, since he is from here, but now I dont have any clue what is going on.

I was a rabid NASCAR fan until #3 died..after that I could give 2 craps about the punks racing nowadays..not to mention this whole car of tomorrow crap

Gordon? Fizzled and boring, Johnson? Lame and boring...Stewart? Crybaby.....Lil E? Can't even hold a candle to his Dad

the rest? Who are they again?

The only one I MIGHT like a little is Kyle Busch...he has a little bit of #3 in him and is not afraid to bump and bash his way to the front

But for the most part once Dale passed Nascar lost it......

people going around in circles put me to sleep. everyone said that if i was to see it live that would change. i went local orange co speedway to watch the mostlly local guys. if it wasn't so loud i could have got in a good nap . plus it is so commercialized and restricted , a bunch of politics and redneck bs. the drag strip is where real men , and women go.

What I really meant by dirt is when they fill the stadium with piles of dirt and they run around in trucks or bikes jumping and landing and crashing into each other.
