Kobe put up some big numbers last night     Hmm make that small. Was it 17 points  who did they lose to oh yes the SUNS. Kobe is scared of the SUNS he will chocke again just like last yet and watch the SUNS go to the next round

Here we go again Dbarb, Deja vu!!! Just like last year Lakers vs. Suns in the first round.

My homer pick...The Mighty Lake Show :D

Realistic pick...Lakers hopefully will win at least one game. Last year's series didn't include Amare

grew up in michigan (outside of ann arbor - s.lyon) so I always love to see the Pistons do it. But I live in the bay area of California now...so I am really excited for Golden State. I don't usually get into local teams out here - I am a wings, tigers, pistons and will proudly admit a Lions fan all the way. ;-) but I'm excited for the Warriors. 13 yrs is a long time!

True enough once again we meet :D I would not expect or except any less from you taking the "The Mighty Fakers Show" err I mean Lakers.

I think the Lakers will take one and best guess they take 2 games.
Kobe will go off on one of those wins and wear the suns down for the win.

Should be fun with Amare in the playoffs this year. I think thats what kept them out of the finals with the heat last year, the fact he was hurt.

MVP Nash :thumb: :one:

 Well Lakers down 1 game :D I missed most of the game, Kobe did what he could in the first half, but with no help he can not beat the suns alone.

NG if your Lakers are to make it the rest of the team needs to step up. Kobe is going to get Pi$$ed off something if he does not get some help.

What about that LB. 6th Man award goes to him this year :thumb:

Kobe will go off, I give you that  but the rest of the team will forget to show up again. Lakers will not take a game till they get home.
They will get the series tied then fall apart at that time once again.

Right here Dbarb! First off that was a good game that could've went either way  I'm just glad they got at least one win :D

That Suns team is tough, just too many good players...Amare is the real deal, Nash is the best PG in the business and Barbosa would be a starter on most NBA teams.

That said I'm a Laker fan so you're about to see the Lake Show win the next three and move on to the second round!

Ng

dbarberaz
04-27-2007, 01:27 PM
Suns will get the next game 3-1 then Lakers 3-2 then the suns will take the last game.
Lakers do not have as deep of a bench so it will wear on the starters.
Phil and Kobe are both winners and know what it takes, just seems the rest of the team lacks heart to finish the game.
Should be good the next few games. On a side note the NBA needs to stop dragging this out just for the money. Play the games and stop having so much off time, this is the playoffs baby :thumb:

NG good series. Kobe played hard and tried to carry the team, Odem stepped up and tried to help out, but the rest of the team seemed flat. Maybe the Lakers will get him some help, cause Kobe is great but not able to carrry a team alone to the big dance.

Ditto. Suns were just too tough of a matchup for the Mighty Lake Show  There's at least 4 all-stars on the Suns team compared to one Kobe Bryant for the Lakers. Kobe just can't do it himself. Good luck against the Spurs, they should make it a tad more competitive. If the Suns make it past the Spurs they'll be my pick to win it all. :thumb:Right now it's still up in the air...

yea there were several calls and no-calls that didnt go good for either side...

WTF was that cheap shot from Horry at the end of the game

Anyway Suns had to dig deep to pull this one out. They needed the win, and get a win on the spurs court. They need to shake off the calls that went agaisnt them and just regroup back at home.

Still think this will go 7 games and just like tonight who ever has the ball last will win.

Lets hope it does not turn into a blood bath. Suns down 2 players Wed. night, Spurs down 1 player 2 games. Wish I could get tickets for game 5 or 7.

In the east it looks like the pistons are the better team, but getting a run for thier money from the bulls. This could also be a preview of who from the east gets into the finals.

Game has kept me on the edge of my seat, the last few minutes have had my heart stopping and restarting
Game 6 should be another great game. Even with the suns leading most of the game Spurs kept the suns under 100 points and they dont win many games that way.

If Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw would have played I think the suns would have got the best of the spurs.

New Finals prediction:

Pistons (win in 5 over Lebron and Company, formerly known as the Cleveland Cavaliers) vs. Spurs (win in 6 over a Utah team lucky enough to draw the Warriors in the 2nd round). Rematch of the '05 Finals goes the distance again, but this time Detroit comes out on top.

I would like to say I agree with you Ng, but the suns were not robbed, they blew it. They had control and most of the 5th and 6th game.

Horry is a :censored: that was a cheap foul he really always has been a dirty player when he gets the chance he takes the cheap foul.

Ducan Parker came thru when they were needed.

If you ask me that was the finals as the jazz do not have have a chance in 7 games, they will be done in 5 6 at most
