That would depend on the dealership. Lefty613 02-03-2006, 04:51 PM i use my car for work.. that would suck... and the leather on the steering wheel came off.. thats gotta get fixed to0, but i cant b without my car SIHHR 02-03-2006, 06:56 PM Sounds like that could be a loose connection behind the radio. Plus you should also try to make sure the fuses underneath the hood are secure. Plus welcome to the Site. Markiemark 02-03-2006, 10:46 PM I get some feedback, just noticeable on XM, lower volumes, like on talk radio. Not too annoying, so I am fine with it, for now. Blinded by the Light! 02-03-2006, 11:15 PM I get a lot of static noise in speakers when the radio is off and turn signal, or seat belt alarm come on. I took it to the dealership and they replaced the radio. Didn't do it for them but it has never stopped for me. It is a little annoying but I have just come to accept it. It also make the same noise when accelerating with radio off. Kind of like others have described a little whiny static noise. Let us know what they come up with. As for getting a car at the dealership, I have dealt with 2 different dealerships and one gives a loaner if it is just for the day and a rental if it is overnight. The other gives a rental if it is overnight only. Lefty613 02-04-2006, 01:10 AM yea its bad... i pressed that black button for the pressure thing on the seat... music was blasting... u hear a loud pop threw the speakers... def not grounded good... way to much noise... gotta take it in now befor it kills the speakers.. i cant drive without music =( sorry its 1am n i got work in 5 hours Gr8tkisr2001 02-13-2006, 07:18 AM I only get feedback when i use my onstar phone to dial out but otherwise i dont hear a whine Lee3333 02-13-2006, 09:13 AM I always thought that was generally caused by a bad ground in the system. ng8650 02-13-2006, 11:36 AM I spent yesterday installing my new sirius s50 and noticed the whine when using the aux input. I'm taking the s50 back to bestbuy today becuase when I start the car I loose my antenna signal. So there is something going on with the Aux input and the whine. If it's bad I'll switch to the fm transmitter. I'll be replacing the stock radio in the next few months anyway if this is a permanent problem with the HHR radio. Ng hottstixx 02-13-2006, 01:19 PM If you are still having problems with it ,here is another option, you can check with radio shack, for a noise gate or noise filter, years ago nearly all car stereos would pick up ignition noise and this little filter would remedy this known problem. flyhhr 02-20-2006, 01:15 PM you can go to radio shack and see if they have a ground loop isolator and wire it in they work good and as far as the wining it is a bad or not a good ground |
