Hey guys - I bought my HHR last Tuesday, used - 19,000 miles. ('06 Silver 2.2)
I brought it in and had the rotors turned on Thursday (they were pulsing) - the dealer said they had to turn them once before replacing. Okay, what ever.

I noticed 2 small chips in the paint on my hood. I've been VERY careful driving - and I never heard a rock hit - etc. I live in rural ND - very little other traffic. It doesn't look like a rock chip either -but actually flaking paint - 2 small spots right near each other - no dent or dings.

This is my first "new" car - I've never owned something this new or had something with warranty.

Is the paint chip/flake enough to bring it to the dealer?

Beyond that - everything seems just GREAT ! I love my HHR. I'm getting approx. 27 mpg - I drive about 450 - 500 miles a week - highway speeds of 65-75mph.

Anyone here have a Hatchbag cargo liner??

The paint is an issue for me as well. Dealer said it's just normal wear, and could not do anything for me on the chipping issue.

Here is a pic of the chipping on mine when it first started occuring a year ago. The front looks a bit worse now.

Awesome ! Thanks everyone.
I love my little scoot so far. I get mixed comments from people, but that's fine by me :-)

I miss having a fun car that I want to customize a little. This thing sure beats the Saturn I was driving !

Is there a way to search old posts & topics? or do I just have to browse around?

There is a search tool in the orange bar at the top. Sometimes you have to get creative with different words to find what you are looking for.

Sorry Dayton I could not resist doing that. In the short time I have been a member here you and jx3 "Jay" always seem to find older forgotten posts.
So now you have a new moniker to use. :thumb:  :one:
