If you are going to Greune, you need to visit Greune Hall. "The oldest dance hall in Texas" That place is a blast from the past. Check it out!

You should come over to Brenham and pick up some BlueBell ice cream. Simply the best ice cream in the country!

Hey, I was born in Rimouski, some years ago.... guys, switching to french

So, what are the automated translators making of this ?

Been there done that. Had a Great prime rib dinner there. And by the looks of the Cowgirls there it's my kind of place. Being single that I am my daughter-in-law grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me kicking and screaming from the place.:rof:

We have that ice cream here in Florida. It is good. We have a Ice cream shoppe
here in Winter Park and they make there own on premise. When they add ingredients they add ingredients. To eat theirs you need to chew it.

Maybe we can g2g when I get there.

I was just asking him which part of town he lives in, because I lived there 18 years, my mother still does, and I'm going back there to visit every year.

Also, his HHR looks exactly the same as mine (without the graphics) and I was commenting on that, and also on the fact that I'll be installing aftermarket wheels as well next year.

Yves

You're only impaired if you lack the skill in your everyday life.... which I doubt is the case. Hey, maybe we'll push to get a french sub section so we can plot about taking over the world. ;)

In case you haven't heard the internet is international. So thus no language
specific areas. If this was strictly American internet then I would agree with you

A mess

Google and Babelfish created this gem:

Hello, in which sector of Rimouski do you live? Your LS is similar with the mien (brackets in less); it is one 2007? I also have buy wheels (American Racing Split 17 ") which I will install the next year. My mother always lives Sacré-coeur, I go there every summer with my family, usually in August. I have been install in Outaouais for 20 years. Welcome on this site!

You'd think with me living in the nations capital I'd be bilingual...nope. 6 years of french language training many moons ago and I can't recall very much of it :(

A mess

Not bad, you still get the jist of it. I like to mess with web translators because I know they pretty much use word for word translation. You can get pretty funny results that way.

My comment about getting a french subforum was tongue-in-check (see the smily?). I think it's understood that most international forums are going to use english, at least until chinese takes over.;) <- See, there's another one!

Let me explain some background here: the spoken language in Rimouski is 99.8% french. I went to grade & high school there, and if things haven't changed, most people can read & understand some english, but most cannot sustain a conversation (Not enough practice). I don't know why DinoConcept chose to post in french, but I suspect that it's because he didn't feel comfortable enough to come up with something in english. Dino, please correct me if I'm wrong here.

I didn't speak or write any english before I went to university, when I was 18.

There are a lot of other countries in the world exactly in the same situation. I don't know about you guys, but once the HHR is sold in Europe, if someone comes in here with their first post in italian, greek or german, I sure hope that someone will be capable of greeting them in their language, show them around and offer some help.

Anyway, I hope Dino comes back and tells us about his company, and shows us interesting graphic designs and ideas that he seems to have. His ride is certainly one of the most original that I've seen so far, and his execution looks to be top notch.

No matter what Language it is in?!
I do not speak French, but he is glad that he has found this site, and wants to share with all, he is not selling.
If he was selling he would have to be a Supporting Vendor.
So my 2cents are now in.
Now let the bashing start on me!

Bonjour Dino!

Okay, for all you paranoid unilinguals, for your benefit, peace of mind, and to prove that I wasn't talking about you behind your backs, here is my translation of the above message  :

. . . (I don't really have to translate the first phrase, do I? )

"Another ex-Quebec-er here. I'm from Ste-Foy [near Quebec city, but Dino probably knows this] where I have spent my childhood. Forgive my mistakes, I've only did elementary school in French, and then Secondary school in English (and I don't know where to find the accents and the cedille on my computer keyboard.)

I bought my HHR 2 months ago. I love it. Before that, I didn't like any car!

(See? No plotting to take over the world, honest! ;) )
