The Power Steering Light Came On With A Little Lock Image At A Red Light And Started Going On And Off All The Way Home Yesterday. I Turned It Off At Home And Waited A While And Tried To Restart. The Battery Was Dead. Has This Happened To Anybody Else?

Might be the fuses, if the are not all in.

What Hillsdale said about the battery.and as far as the Power Steering , I had a friend of mine have that happen to them and the dealer replaced the power steering unit and it fixed the problem. Not sure what a 'unit' is but whatever it was fixed it.. Hope this is of some help..

Let the dealer do their job, that's why they have warranties...

I guess that is why he had in towed back to the Dealer today.

I just check a few other places and found 2 other HHRs that had type of a problem. One was a battery cable that was loose, and the other did not post the results.

Please let us know what the final outcome is.

The lock image is the alarm system. It is a little car like image with a lock and is amber in color. Something may have diasbled your key. When you turn the ignaition is everything completely dead or does anything happen? If not completely dead, try your spare key.

Yupo - the same thing happened to mine at 8 mos. Dead car, dash light show, and a tow. My dealer switched out for a new battery and I was ON THE ROAD AGAIN... musta been a bad cell.
