need help with a name. the wife and i thought of the "smurf" but i dont know if its already taken. the pinstripe was painted on and is peeling now so we are gonna remove it.(it was on it when we got it). we want to put one back on it but not sure on colors or materials. any input would be great.

Very nice this is the 1st one in this color loaded that I have seen. I am sure you will be very happy with it, I like the name (Smurf) I don't think you will like the Black Pin strip give it time it will grow on you, I mean (Smurf) will not be the same with the black strip. Congrads and welcome.

One thing you might do is go buy some vynl pinstripping put that on to see if you like the color before painting it on

How about prism tape as a test, then you get the entire rainbow!

I think a gold metallic stripe would look great, really hilight the gold flakes in the paint.

It's not blue. It is golden teal...kinda of in the green family. The color is hard to see correctly in the pics...they are a bit dark. There are other pics of golden teal on this forum that show the color much more accurately.

thanks for all your input. i took the pics near dark after i gave it a bath. if i get a chance i will get some on a sunny day. i see Smurf is a hit so io think i will see what i can come up with for a color scheme/stripe etc.......although it is the wifes ride, i dont want it too girly though since i drive it 2 days a week to work.hahahaha

thanks for all the compliments butttttttttt,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the pinstripe is no more. it was painted on and flaking already so we had it remove. i think it set the car off but the wife and i have something else in mind.......

we found a chrome side molding upgrade which comes out of Canada. i have yet to see one on a hhr.. i guess the kit comes with 4 door,front and rear, and 4 interior pieces. so thats 10 total. they dont look too "bling bling" so to speak but it does give it a unique look per the pics of it on a black hhr. i will be ordering it soon. when i put it on i will change up the pics..............till next time. cya
