Last year we had a good turn out. This year they added HHR to the class. For those of you that missed it last year we had a good time. We had 8 HHRs and there was only one PT there. The owner of the PT had a cow because they put us in a class with her.
It would be great to have a better showing than last year. Here are the details.

July 28 2007 in Eufaula, Oklahoma.
$15.00 entry fee $12.00 Pre-entry.

Naomi and I had a great time last year and we are looking forward to this years event. The event has a nice arts &crafts show too.

Last time we had some HHRs park next to us but not join the car show. we parked all the cars togather and just had a good time. It was a good get to gather.

I usualy make car shows father/daughter time. My 6 yo comes with me.
We like to keep it family friendly. Although last year the lone PT owner had a few choice words for me for "invading" the PT class.:lol:

Is the Stay Inn the easiest place to stay and is there a car wash nearby? Bob may need a little washin' after the drive.

Not sure which hotel is best, but there is a car wash in town.

I'm driving in Friday and staying at Lake Eufaula Inn Friday and Saturday nights.

One of the car washes is one block north and next (East of), to Nichols grocery store.
Another one is located just East of the N.A.P.A. store in the same block. In fact if you come south on 69 Business from the Loves Truck Stop, you will pass the car wash. It is on your r/h side. If you turn right at the stop light it will put you at the car show. Any other questions call me at 918-452-2003.

Well I have some good news and some bad news.

I'll give you the good news first. It has not rained for three days now.
The lake water is going down towards its normal level. So much for the good news.

Bad News= The area that the circus rides were normally located at, has been moved to the north side of the grounds that held 1/2 of the cars and car show. The ground is so wet (It flooded with about 2-3 feet of water.)
The City has been doing all they can to drain the water out. Fact is the water table is so high, that the lake level needs to lower for it to drain.
The trailers are barried and the trucks had to be pulled out with wreckers. That left ruts axel deep for several feet. The area across the street that the arts and crafts were in is also very wet and unuseable. Havent seen where they are going, but if my intuition is correct, they will be put on the south side of the car show area. (Just my opnion). They need to put the food vendor and Boy Scouts in the south side of the park or along the small paved road that seperates the two halfs.
I think that the best thing the Whole Hawg gang could do is postpone the entire event due to the water levels being so high.
And yes : You can call me at 918-452-2003. I'll try and answer any question anyone may have. I think if you call the "rust to riches car club", they will tell you all is O.K. and come on down. If you drive from out of state you have a right to know.:red: I know I live but 7 miles from the event and I am not going to be there.:D
