Here everyone is some of the photos from the Jerome road trip G2G.

For those that have no clue where or what Jerome is about thought I would give you a little history then the photos

Located high on top of Cleopatra Hill (5,200 feet) between Prescott and Flagstaff is the historic copper mining town of Jerome, Arizona. Once known as the wickedest town in the west, Jerome was a copper mining camp, growing from a settlement of tents to a roaring mining community. Four disastrous fires destroyed large sections of the town during its early history, resulting in the incorporation of the City of Jerome in 1899
Founded in 1876, Jerome was once the fourth largest city in the Arizona Territory. The population peaked at 15,000 in the 1920's. The Depression of the 1930's slowed the mining operation and the claim went to Phelps Dodge, who holds the claim today. World War II brought increased demand for copper, but after the war, demand slowed. Dependant on the copper market, Phelps Dodge Mine closed in 1953. The remaining 50 to 100 hardy souls promoted the town as a historic ghost town. In 1967 Jerome was designated a National Historic District by the federal government. Today Jerome is a thriving tourist and artist community with a population of about 450.

Jerome sits above what was the largest copper mine in Arizona and produced an astonishing 3 million pounds of copper per month. Men and women from all over the world made their way to Arizona to find work and maybe a new way of life. Today the mines are silent, and Jerome has become the largest ghost town in America.
The town is built on the side of the moutain.
Ok enough on the history leason.

Started the day by meeting everyone north of Phoenix and started the 100+ mile one way up the moutains to Jerome. Stopped along the way for a phot shoot overlooking the moutains.
Once we got up there went for some lunch, then some walling and shopping(some how I got out cheap as the wife didnt buy anything:confused:  )
After everyone was hot and tierd of walking up and down hills time to head back down. Stopped one more time to another photo shoot and then time to head home.
Had a good time great to meet some new members and see old members again.
Enjoy......
Drive up there, we picked up a rental(white) that drove part of the way

]Thanks barberaz for getting us to photobucket. I'm going to try to post a few of our pics tonight. If your reading this now, I've been successful. If not, you'll have no way of knowing I have locked myself in the close chewing on a printer cable and painting my teeth with my ink cartridges.

But first, forgot to tell you our funny story from Jerome. Remember we had to go down the hill and take a hairpin turn part of the way down to get the Douglas Mansion. Well,Frank and I thought "no problem" and although she was out of sight, as we started our trip up the hill out of Jerome, we were sure she was just a few cars ahead of us, and we would be able to see and follow her soon. Awhile later, as we were passing by a hairpin turn which lead to a state park, but didn't have any signage for the Douglas Museum, Frank looked out the rearview mirror and casually asked "who's in the red car behind us?" You may have seen our successful u-turn manuveur on that little, norrow, steep, and curvy road. Neither Frank nor myself consider us to be much as far as leaders.....just didn't know we were that bad as followers!

OK - here the pictures (maybe)

Not having much luck - any other ideas?
