The radio feeds low level audio signals to the amp and the amp sends amplified audio to all of the speakers. I'm not sure I understand the rest of your question. As you can see from the wring, the system is very friendly to upgrading.
I've posted the schematics of the radio and amp wiring here:

I've posted some info about using the stock amp.

I'm getting ready to install a CarPuter in my 2LT and wire it up to the stock amp, will post pictures and progress soon.

I'm wondering the same thing myself.
Here is more help for you, this is a picture of all the audio connectors and the pinouts, I don't know what else we (as in this board) can do for you.

I understand your frustration but I think that you are taking the comments too much to heart. No one can tell what your level of expertise is from your posts, so it was assumed that a wiring diagram would suffice. It is going to be next to impossible to walk you through it via the forum. What you need is someone locally to give you a hand. You should take the wiring diagram to an audio shop and they will be able to show you what connects to what with an actual amp right in front of you. Take some notes and I'm sure that you can do it yourself.
captain howdy 02-11-2006, 12:03 AM Well put AlienHHR.

You are out of line!
No one was rude to you by any measure. You are the only one being rude.
I posted for you schematics and connector pinouts for the audio system, and this is how you return the favor....
Go somewhere else, please!
JonyyB 02-11-2006, 12:00 PM Again, I have yet to ban anyone, but if the attitudes continue, I going to start. So go ahead be a troll now
If you must be an ass to other people, please don’t post at all!
