I bought this sub but decided to go with dual 10-inch Audiobahns in a bandpass box.

The sub I am selling is A Pioneer 10" with 700-watt capacity. I have run it on 300-watts and it doesn't even breath hard. Nice tight clean bass with no distortion. The sub is mounted in a thin-line Enclosure from Audio Craft, and fits nicely right up against either side of the cargo area.

If you want to add a sub to your HHR but don't want to take up all the cargo space, this is a good option for you. It will perform like the stock sub (but louder), providing tight bass - good for most rock style music. If you like "booming" rap type bass, this is not the sub for you.

It's pretty thin and won't take up much room in the cargo area.
It can also be quickly removed if you need to haul some large items.

Anyone interested - just shoot me an email or PM.
Thanks!

What kind of amp did you have that connected to just out of curiousity?

Pioneer 300-watts @ 2-ohms. I'm running the same amp now with my bandpass box with dual Audiobahn 10"s and it is a very strong amp for its size. IMO, if you have a good strong amp like the Pioneer MOSFET series, 300-watts is plenty of sub power in the HHR.

Mike do you still just have the factory speakers in front and mods in back? Wanting to start on mine can't decide if I want replace all 4 or just the back? ? BTW my stock hhr from the pics is just like yours d. silver 1lt :thumb:

Yeah Guido, I am just getting ready to swap out the fronts - but they have been doing an excellent job keeping up with my new Pioneer 8600 head (50x4). You won't pic up a whole lot of volume changing the rear door speakers - just better sound. Once you change out the head unit, things really start to open up!

Hope it helps,

IMO do all of them sub and tweeters included. Thats what I did. None of them are worth a damn, they are all your standard factory paper cone speakers and the magnet on your shallow a** sub is about like 10 - 15 oz.(no I didn't actualy weigh it.). You'll be a lot happier with all aftermarkets. ;)

CH u didn't change your head did you?? Are you satisfied w/ it? I don't think I want to change mine. I think I'lljust change the speakers and tweeters first. Thanks for the input guys.

That exactly what I did. I am satisfied with the head and amp for the time being, I'm not going for a competiton set up. The only part I wasn't happy with was the speakers. I can't say that I won't change the head unit or amp out at some point but I'm happy with just speakers for now. Just changing your speakers alone makes a huge difference in the sound quality.

I just wired an rca converter to the back channel on my stereo and hooked up a 600 watt amp to a 12".I thought it was gonna suck but I'm really suprised at how good it sounds.

It sounds amazing. No rattles - even waaaaay up! The HHR is really built solid. I have this live jazz recording with an upright bass and you'd swear he was playing in the back seat. Lovin' it! :thumb:

Where is your amp? What is where the old sub was?

My amp is mounted in the tray under the rear cargo floor.

I did not buy the factory "sub" package, knowing that I was going to install my own system.
