equus 05-21-2007, 01:29 AM I donīt know how to call this, i wan to know if this is a problem or just normal,
Today arrive at home and after 4 hours more or less, need to go out and takes more time than "normal" to start, sometimes i just move a the key and start very fast, i noticed this two or three times...
Any advice please..
Thanks
R CA HHR 05-21-2007, 01:39 AM Mine seems to start very quiclky everytime when using the key, but when I use the remote start, I hit the lock button and then it says to hold the start button for two seconds , but it sometimes takes three or four. I guess this could be a symptom of the same problem if there is a problem.

can you supply a little more detail in...."a little more than normal to start"?
Are you saying, for example, that the engine is "cranking" for 3 or 4 seconds before starting?
Are you turning the key and NOTHING happens for several seconds?
Are you turning the key and you hear a clicking sound, then the car starts?
As for my experience...... I have NONE of these problems. My HHR, 2.4, auto. starts immediately everytime.....even with the remore start.

Yes it is this is the correct option :)
Black Beauty 05-22-2007, 07:06 AM Could be the fuel pump, a few members have reported problems/repairs.
Applenut 05-22-2007, 10:56 PM Our '06 had to have it's fuel pump replaced, there was a TSB on this I believe also.
mizzouHHR 05-22-2007, 11:02 PM I had the fuel pump problem on my HHR. With mine, the only time I had trouble was after I had been driving, shut the car off for a bit (15 minutes to an hour) and try to start, it would crank for a long time before finally starting. They found the fuel pump would lose pressure. Fuel pump was replaced and no problems since. Good luck.
Snoopy 05-22-2007, 11:05 PM Mizzou...your description sounds pretty close to equus' problem. Makes sense also:thumb:
equus 05-23-2007, 03:49 AM i will talk with the dealer about this ..
