This is an open invite.

All are invited to join us to welcome Edward home from his tour in Iraq (USMC). We are trying for 6PM at Bubbu Gumps Shrimp Company located in Long Beach CA on Monday May 28th.
We will pick him and his wife up from LAX at 4:30PM. We should make Long Beach by 6pm, with holiday traffic and all.
I know it's short notice and all, this is an open invite as a thank you for your kind words and support.
I thank everyone for their support, this was a rough one for his folks!

Sindy, buy Edward a beer for me will ya? glad to see that now when a service men comes home that he can have a good time. when i came home from playing army in vietnam in 68, we had a fun group to greet us. they had signs telling us we were murders, stuff like that and this was in kansas.there were 4 of us coming home. my mom came to the airport to pick us all up. ofcourse she had a case of coors for us. couldn't get coors, everything else but no coors. we had a very good time spraying the protesters. it was realy funny! glad to see you made it home, Edward. when are you going to get a HHR?

Bonnie and I are sooo happy for you. If he's half the person you are, he's a good man. It was a real pleasure meeting you on your trip and we hope to meet up again some day.

THe Z's are very happy that he is safe and will be Home, I am very sorry that we can not drive that far due to the price of Fuel today , Please for give us for not attending. You know we would love to be there. I like alot of others would like to be sure he has a Beer on the ChevyHHr.Net site I am sure he knows that we have been following him via SinDix's Posts. We are glad you Son is Home.

Please say thanks to the young Marine from me.It is so exciting when a loved one comes home.I am happy to say that my son is home for his mid-tour leave and we are spending some time together and having a great time.Even when he brings his dirty laundry over and all we do is watch the Braves game while he uses my washer and dryer.:lol:

Thanks for the invite. But sorry, I will not be able to make it, THIS TIME.

Please tell Kiddo, that we give him THANKS for his service and glad he returned home safely.

Maybe sometime in the near future we (you, Bumpstops, Ed and his misses) can meet up and have a "burger" or something.:thumb:

Also, please keep us informed on his status.

OMG Sindy! I just got back from 2 trips to San Diego this week - I can't face another road trip for a while... but I am very proud of your son for helping out our country and want you to tell him that we are all grateful. :bow:

I was lucky enough to fly from Minneapolis with local reservists on their way home in our area.
Several of us in First Class surrendered our seats and let them sit up there they got a round of applause when we landed. Then made sure they were first off the plane to greet their family...

No matter what your thoughts are on the war, PLEASE Support the troops.

Sindy he makes me proud that he was/is a Marine, remember both of my parents were also.
A Great day to have your Son come home and you thought of NEMO twice in the pics!
