Anyone have any ideas? Rrailwriter 05-28-2007, 04:52 PM  East could sound cool, at least you could go somewhere up in the mountains and escape the heat a little bit. dbarberaz 05-28-2007, 06:16 PM Guess it depends on when and where. We are leaving for DC in June I think from the 18th-29th, so we will be busy getting ready for that en0oNmAI 05-29-2007, 02:43 PM if you're looking for cooler weather down south we could always cruise Mt Lemmon again... Otherwise, what is there out east? Never been out there. Maybe Canyon Lake??? something to take a dip and cool off?? Retroburban 05-29-2007, 08:20 PM I'm open to anything as usual! ... Wasn't sure if everyone was too busy or if anyone wanted to get together. Pie on Mt. Lemmon sound good... Rrailwriter 05-29-2007, 08:36 PM  Ummm! I just followed last time! It will be great to have surfhhr and Richie along! en0oNmAI 06-03-2007, 02:14 PM exit at Cortaro and the McD's is right there. Retroburban 06-03-2007, 06:37 PM Is there any way to move this back a week to the 23rd? May have a conflicting schedule....:( en0oNmAI 06-04-2007, 12:50 AM It don't matter to me. Sounds good.. What time does everyone want to meet up? surfhhr 06-04-2007, 11:48 AM The 23rd sounds good to me.:thumb: Maybe with the extra time frame we could get some more intrest out there to make the trip??? Looking forward to trip #2!! :) en0oNmAI 06-06-2007, 10:22 PM Ok so.. we want pie on Mt Lemmon but what about lunch? Same thing? Same place? Or just pie? Last time we arrived and it was Oktoberfest. This time I don't think there will be a Junetoberfest or anything. If its lunch-n-pie then we'll want to meet between 930-1000 at the McDonalds on Cortaro and I-10. Anyone heard anything from SSMike?? Retroburban 06-06-2007, 10:30 PM I'm up for lunch and pie...by the time us phx area folks get to Tucson, we will probably be ready to eat! Sent an email to Mikeguru/SSMike.. any word from Snoopy? mcklewick... if you want, we can meet at Albertson's again and head down together surfhhr 06-08-2007, 01:40 PM I am still in the loop for pie or whatever? Keep the cards and letters coming! Soooo Long for now. SURFHHR DUDE:nuts: Rrailwriter 06-09-2007, 03:08 AM Lunch and pie sounds good to us. Where are we meeting in the Phoenix area for the drive to Tucson? Retroburban 06-09-2007, 10:20 AM Lunch and pie sounds good to us. Where are we meeting in the Phoenix area for the drive to Tucson? Since you are off of Cactus. We can meet at the Brass Armadillo if you would like. Rrailwriter 06-09-2007, 09:18 PM Since you are off of Cactus. We can meet at the Brass Armadillo if you would like. Are you talking about the antique mall? We're over on E. Cactus Rd, one mile from the 51. We usually take the 51 when we head south, can we meet at Super Kmart on Cactus and the 51, or somewhere further south after the 51 meets up with 10? dbarberaz 06-10-2007, 01:26 AM Even if I will not be going might I suggest IKEA as a meeting point again  that seemed to work last time we went done south. Have fun :thumb: Rrailwriter 06-10-2007, 03:22 PM :thumb: Sounds good to us! Good place because it's on the way south. Retroburban 06-10-2007, 10:25 PM Agreed, sounds good. I was thinking Railwriter was over on this side of town! IKEA works for me. Just have to figure out time frames! dbarberaz 06-10-2007, 10:50 PM Agreed, sounds good. I know where it is but not sure which exit it is.....can you tell me? Also, what time? Looking forward to seeing you all...... Sandy & Frank en0oNmAI 06-13-2007, 12:14 PM looks like a couple of the guys from here are going to join us as well... can't wait to see you all at McD's! Is the 930-1000 time frame still good for everyone? Retroburban 06-13-2007, 11:52 PM I believe the exit for IKEA is Warner.. pretty sure of it. Those of us coming from north should be at IKEA by 08:00ish in order to be in Tucson by 09:30 - 10:00.... in case we hit traffic. en0oNmAI- glad to hear some folks from the area will be joining us. I have a friend that just moved down there a few months ago.. he will be on his bike.. but he will join us as well. I owe him lunch! en0oNmAI 06-14-2007, 12:12 PM Ok so some info for the 23rd. Tucson is closing I-10 for a widening project for 3 or so years. SO there is a small stretch of highway where we will have to jump along the frontage roads. No biggie. Then back to the highway and on out to Houghton and up the Moutain. And it looks like not just a couple guys from here are going. So far our list from the car club here is:: Richie/Kat, Juan, Rey, Greg/Melody, Robert, and Josh. We're not sure if more are showing up or not. So we should have a decent sized group! Tucson is so boring we'll take any excuse to meet with car people and go for a cruise! :D Rrailwriter 06-14-2007, 09:25 PM  Okay folks, just in case one of us gets lost, what is the exact address where we're meeting up with everyone in Tucson? You never know where us old folks will wander ya know! Hubby likes to print out a map of places we're going. Retroburban 06-15-2007, 08:02 PM  Okay folks, just in case one of us gets lost, what is the exact address where we're meeting up with everyone in Tucson? Looking forward to seeing you folks at Ikea! en0oNmAI 06-21-2007, 12:48 AM Yeah.. -then when you get here looks like I may be the only HHR from Tucson. But if everyone from our car club shows up that has shown interest there will be around 9 to 10 more cars. A few Cobalts, a turbo Ford Contour, a Mazdaspeed 6, and a Sentra SER maybe. See you all Saturday! Retroburban 06-21-2007, 09:28 AM Actually, I think there are two of you from Tucson.. you and SurfHHR? en0oNmAI 06-21-2007, 01:59 PM oh... is SurfHHR in Tucson? I had no idea! Retroburban 06-26-2007, 09:34 PM I did not bring a camera! Sorry! ssfamilywagon 06-26-2007, 11:41 PM Gato n I snap a couple of pics and took some footage. But we can't do anything without our comp. The Wii can't post pics. Snoopy 06-27-2007, 05:13 PM Anyone have any pics from the meet? Sorry, I only took one. And, only of the HHR's at the first "rest stop" up the mountain. Sometimes I wonder why I carry a camera....I hardly ever use it. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa168/GoodStogie/Mtlemmon2.jpg HillsdaleHHR 06-27-2007, 08:57 PM Nice pic Snoopy!!! I'm the same as you. May have a camera with me but rarely take pics. I spent some time in Europe during High School and hardly took any pictures. I wanted to experience the sites not take pictures . So I ended up buying lots of postcards :D Snoopy 06-27-2007, 09:32 PM Thanks Hills.... Yeah, we are both the same when it comes to cameras. As a request for Christmas, I even purchased a new camera for the wife (so, we BOTH have one)a dedicated photo printer, and a new HP computer with photo "crunching" software. It's hardly ever used. Don't know why I treat her so well;) en0oNmAI 06-29-2007, 02:54 AM You wouldnt happen to have a higher resolution image of that would ya Snoopy? Thats a nice pic! Snoopy 06-29-2007, 07:01 PM Actually no, I don't think so. I took it fast and it looks to be a little out of focus.:red: en0oNmAI 06-29-2007, 07:19 PM oh, ok. Still a good shot though! I like the HHRs all together. Different styles! |
