[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Hello from the California Desert! We have a 2007 LT2 Golden Teal Metallic purchased new two months ago, with Grey Leather, 2.4. Dark windows, running boards, Chrome Wheels.

Hubby put gold double pin stripe on the belt line, mud flaps, door handle cups, Route 66 decal, old school Chevrolet on the grill and front quarter panel. Sweet!

I love my bowtie!
Look forward to visiting with all you other cool owners..........
God Bless the U.S.A. :usa:

Welcome to the club.
Funny thing, I was born in Barstow, CA, back in the 50's.
Visited in the late 60's but I am sure it sure has changed.
I remember only being allowed to be in the comm pool for 2 hrs only then the pool shut down for 30 mins, and a new group of kids got to in, once you were in the pool area you could not go back in till the next day.
Hope that has changed.
Back to the subject at hand:
Welcome to the Club and Enjoy the Ride.

LOL, yeah the pool is still here, actually just down the street from us. Yes, the rules have changed. We are about 22,000 population now and growing. I've only been here since 1990. Lucky you to live in Florida!

Glad to meet you! I lived at Edwards AFB for 4 yrs, so I know Barstow a bit. Sounds like you've already been bit by the mod bug. Can we see photos of your car mods? I finally saw my first Golden Teal on the road today in Orange, CA and then guess what? I saw a Saturn VUE in the same golden shining teal - how could that be???? Looks better on an HHR, that's for sure. I traded in my Vue for my HHR, nothing against them, but I love the retro lines and BIG improvement in the turning radius. Hmmm, guess I wandered off topic again, huh??????

Well anyway welcome and hope to meet you someday. We are huge Route 66 fans and want to follow it up and East out of CA - I have books and maps and would really enjoy it, maybe in the Fall (I hate heat!)
