Just thought I would pass this on if anyone is interested. I'll have my HHR (HWYSTRR) at the Hot Import Night show 6/2 at Coors Amphitheatre. Then 6/3 I'll be at the Lowrider Show at Qualcomm Stadium. Both shows are in San Diego area. You can go to www.hotimportnights.com or www.lowridermagazine.com for all show information....

Wow - thanks for the heads up. We'll be on travel, but I would have LOVED to see you at the lowridershow. I recently saw the movie "SUNDAY DRIVER" which is kind of a history of the Compton Majestics Low Rider club and VERY fun to watch (except for the guns and drugs part - ick!). Has anyone else seen it? It's on Showtime this month.

Listen, Fear1 - I love your car, but looking at that lowridermagazine site - OMG I would do serious crimes MYSELF to own this car:

Okay, just kidding. The owner is from Compton and has been low riding since the 60's so I bet HE could tell us a thing or two about the Majestics!!

FEAR1 --- will you be too busy showing your ride to take some photos for us of the Lowrider show?

And, next question -- what steps to you personally take to make sure your car doesn't get jealousy damage (keyed, etc). Do you ever just park it outside a coffee shop and go eat breakfast? Do you inspect it every time you get in, like I do? Have you had any road damage? When you take it around, is it in a trailer??

I'm not too nosy, am I? Just know that I would be so paranoid if it was mine. I guess your sponsors would fix it back up for you, right? Come on, tell us more... and hope to finally meet you at the Deja Vue Rendezvous!!

The H.I.N. & Lowrider show were a blast, I took:
Best GM & Best Domestic at H.I.N.
Lowrider show, I took 1st in the Mini Suv Class.

Both shows were pack with allot of cars & crowds. I was the only HHR at both shows. It was nice to win over all the other rides, from all the nice words & compliments the other owners said about how custom and HHR can be.

I take super care of it. I drive it around town at times, but mainly used for shows, which I trailer to the far ones & drive it to the close ones. Yes nice to be sponsor, but if I tear it up, then I would have to pay to have it fix. Their (sponsors) not in bis. to keep doing it over & over for free if it's my fault. If something comes up once in a while to repair, then that's a different story to get done for free. Ok hope this helps to answers your questions, & no your not being nosey at all. Take care & hopefully meet up asap :thumb:

Thank you again for your nice words. Yes both shows were allot of fun, just wish their could of been more HHR's there. And yes, depending on what kind of car show it is, I've been put in different class's. I was at one show where they put me in mild that I won. I tried to talk the judges in putting me in a higher class, cause I didn't think it was fair to the other car owners that were in mild. Next major show (Extreme Autofest) for me is 7/14 Las Vegas motor speedway. Hope to see some HHR's out there....:thumb:
