Well fellas i tried to make it, but with the weather the way it was and the ridiculous amount of traffic on I-5 and especially 210 i made it as far as Irwindale Ca :( By that time it was almost 8:00pm (and can you believe i got on the road by 2:00pm) so i gave up. Anyway i'm looking to the next one (I'll just have to take the day off and leave very early. Hope you guys had a good time.

All in all i had a pretty good time :) (just wish i could of made it to cruise night). :(

Sorry to hear about your drive Chuck. You were missed. We had 5 HHR's (1 Blue, 2 Charcoal, and 2 Blacks). Everyone had a great time chatting about cars & mods, and we did a bit of driving in the rain. Fazoli's was good food and fun - what a great bunch of folks! Here's a few pics:

OK Smitty, I've got to hit you up for some info. What color pearl did they use, and if you don't mind me asking, what did they charge for the custom flamz?

Ng

booksmitty
03-04-2006, 03:49 PM
White Pearl with clear to keep it translucent. 5 hours to tape flame alone!
It would cost about $2000, because of the time to do the work. I paid about $200 for material.

I do get compliments a lot. I'm part color blind and thought I had purchased a Dark Gray or Dark Silver... Didn't take my wife. I'm so dumb.
Anyway- I really like it now... at least what I see of the color.

Thanks for the questions and input.

I love Disneyland this time of year. It's all decked out for the holidays and will be for the next few months. Pirates of the Caribbean has been redone and is longer and fun, there are a few improvements in the Haunted Mansion and the Jungle Cruise, oh, and of course, Space Mountain is all redone this year...If you haven't been here this year, the castle has been redone and is gorgeous!

You can print a list of Hidden Mickeys all over the park and take it with you... http://www.hiddenmickeys.org/Disneyland/

and of course there are new rides in California Adventure, the Monsters Inc ride, the Buzz Lightyear one, Turtle Talk with Crush... But sharing a loaf of sourdough on the "wharf", watching the nighttime parades and the fireworks with friends...that's priceless. (I sound like a commercial).

So how's your November shaping up? We are 5 minutes from there, and there are several of us with annual passes and parking passes, NOT TO MENTION that I might be able to get some people in free from a friend...(not in December, though).

This calendar shows the blockout dates for our annual pass, so we can't go on those dates. But you can PM me for a meet-up, carpool over and get free parking, or we can do an organized thing, meeting at my house first, and caravaning in together to park next to each other... I'm really up for this, but we need some ACTION on it in the next few weeks.

Can you imagine being the flagship of a huge meet-up with stops across the U.S...and finally rolling into a welcoming arms of the Midwest homies?? We do have time to plan it - the lodging etc is less expensive there - but wow, time off and $$?? I wouldn't do it alone, but I might jump on board...
