Space Coast central Florida. no HHR yet but it's on order :)

I posted this in the general forum but though it needed to be here too!!

I live in Florida, I'm on the east coast (Titusville area). My HHR hasn't arrived yet and I only see a couple on the road here in our area. Just to let you know, I'm also a very active member of Focaljet.com which is a site for Focus enthiasts. I bought a Focus a few years ago since at the thime Chevy didn't have anything fun, inexpensive, and economical to drive, so I'm really glad they came out with the HHR. My point to this post is, as an active member of FJ, my home is usually the location for all of our modding g2g's. I do all my own work on my cars as well as for many other's, I have a three bay shop, a four post lift, and enough tools to perform most automotive related work and have more years of automotive experience than I really care to remember...LOL. I'll be starting my mods on my HHR the day I get it. so, for furure reference I may attempt to set up a g2g here probably within the next couple months. When this happens I'll post more info here on this forum. However, our g2g's now consist of many different makes and models of car's since many of our FJ members have moved away from our beloved Focuses and on to other projects. -Dan

It takes about two months for delivery. I orderd mine from the factory also. The only thing the dealer can rush is the delivery after it comes into your local terminal from the train. Be patient, it is worth the wait.

Welcome aboard Jerell and thanks for the plug...LOL

I know your HHR is stock right now but for those of you who's never met Jerell I'm sure he's going to hook it up. He's got one of the most hooked up Focuses I've ever seen and really goes out to build a real eye catcher.

we might want to be careful about mixing ford and chevy crowds... you know how those focaljet people can get....could get really ugly and then we might have to build an oval track or drag strip on your property as well to settle things! :D

Sorry, I missed this thread! :red:

I am from the Gallatin area near Nashville. There is one other Amethyst HHR
here in Gallatin, and a burgandy one closeby in the Mt. Juliet area.

We are the core of the Nashville area HHR's so far.

There is one in Johnson City, another in Eastern Tn. and
I believe one in Nashville that use these forums.

That is six, which is almost half of what the So cal guys
had at their last event this weekend. ( No competition here... )

Feel free to contact me here or thru a PM or e-mail. I will be happy

HHR's are really gaining in popularity here! I know there are 3 additional that I see on a daily basis - 2 more black and a sport red - possibly a 2nd blue, but I don't know for sure (haven't seen one on the road to know who the owner is). That makes 9, maybe 10, all on the same post every day, going through the same gate. Heck, Friday there were 3 of us one behind the other going through the gate after lunch!

That's one thing I liked about getting the Spring Edition, it already has some of the things others want, chrome package, chrome wheels, two-tone leather seats. The wheels and the seats weren't available on any other model.

There has yet to be any kind of meet in SE Florida. Several of us met in Naples in Dec. and before that at Dan'd's just north of the cape.

I'm going to try to get an informal meet & greet type of lunch thing set up in Broward. It won't be for a couple of months though (gotta wait for the doc's clearance). As soon as I can get an idea of a date(s) I'll create a thread with an open invite to all.
