View Full Version : Anyone Buy These Seat Covers?
courthousedeb 06-03-2007, 08:26 PM Like many of the other members of the forum who have the cloth interior, I am considering purchasing some aftermarket seat covers. I have looked at the universal fit ones, both with and without the separate headrest covers. I haven't found anything I think will work like I want, so I guess I'll probably go the custom route.
Please take a moment to check out this ebay auction and let me know what you think. If you have purchased these, please let me know what you think of them.
HERE (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Custom-Seat-Covers-for-CHEVROLET-HHR-2006-2007_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33702QQihZ004QQite mZ140123506839QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW) is the eBay auction...I checked their feedback and it's 100% and everyone seems to be pleased with them...but want to hear some actual info from any members who may have them.
Thanks so much for any help or feedback.
HonestBlues 06-03-2007, 08:52 PM You might look at these as well Deb  http://www.autosportcatalog.com/index.cfm?fa=c&cid=60
GDZHHR 06-03-2007, 08:58 PM Deb, I looked at those a couple times, seems I'm always trolling ebay!
Its hard to tell cause the interior is so dark, but they don't seem to fit real well. Kinda loose.
I was looking at a neopreme set though like in honest's link.
oneton 06-03-2007, 09:06 PM Deb; i am looking at this site
http://www.pfyc.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=HH2101&Store_Code=PFYC&search=seat+covers&offset=&filter_cat=410&PowerSearch_Begin_Only=&sort=&range_low=&range_high=%20&Category_Code=GNINT
courthousedeb 06-03-2007, 09:40 PM Thanks for the additional links guys...this is definitely turning out to be quite an endeavor. My search has just begun...and you know me...I take my time and do my research before actually making my purchases.
Thinking maybe I'll write to the seller and ask him if he can contact the HHR owners who purchased their seat covers from him and have them email me directly. Was hoping that someone here had taken the plunge on these and had feedback...be it good, bad or indifferent.
Please continue to provide links you might have to other options. Thanks again for the comments thus far. :thumb:
Black Rose 06-03-2007, 10:11 PM I'm looking for seat covers as well.
I think the ones I am looking at at wally world would work for the passenger side, but since I have the 6-way power seat, they wouldn't work since the base of the drivers seat is deeper than the other.
Don't want to have to pay for custom covers, but these seats stain way too easy.
courthousedeb 06-03-2007, 10:20 PM Same boat that I'm in Black Rose...Drivers seat is definitely a challenge..well both are with the removeable headrests and armrests. Just looking for a reasonably priced set that I don't have to cut to pieces to install.
papaw 06-03-2007, 10:30 PM I bought the seat covers from this company last year, and am still VERY pleased with their product and service. I had coke spilled on them a coupla months ago.....took it off, washed it and it still looks as good as new. I recommend them highly. If you'll check their feedback in Jan 07, you'll see my feedback to them. Look for butch93. I just looked my feedback up Jan 5, 07.
courthousedeb 06-03-2007, 10:46 PM That's great papaw...was hoping I'd find someone who purchased some from these guys. Would you happen to have any pictures of them installed posted on the forum anywhere? Really interested in how the fit and look installed on the car. :thumb:
Black Rose 06-04-2007, 12:19 AM Deb, I went through the sellers feedback and all but 1 buyer of the covers for the HHR was positive. Fair amount of HHR seat covers sold.
Only thing not really mentioned is regarding the map pockets on the back of the drivers seat. I've sent a message to the seller. Will post when I get a response.
Black Rose 06-04-2007, 09:23 AM Map pockets on the back of the drivers seat are not accessable after the seat cover is installed.
Also, they only have the Beige/Tan covers right now. Gray covers are in the fabrication process.

Deb...No pics,but....I have the same color car as you, with the tan cloth interior. The beige/tan covers are (in my mind) a perfect match. The headrest covers are seperate pieces, as are the arm rest covers. The front covers are embroidered HHR with the chevy logo. For the money...these covers fit well and do the job. As a sidenote...Thank you for helping me find the rubber bumper pieces some time ago. Nice clean mod! Thanks.:thumb:
courthousedeb 06-04-2007, 07:10 PM Thanks again for the info papaw...and helping with the bumper guard is not big deal. That's what's so great about the HHR community...we help one another when it is needed.
I did get another review from one of the people who purchased these seat covers as well. Their response is below.
Quality is great, I also have covers from this seller in my Titan. Fits really well, a little complicated in a few places like the back seat but allow yourself about an hour or so and you'll get them installed no problem. I have a 2006 Orange Metallic also and I was surprised at how close the gray of the seat covers matched the gray interior of the hhr. Good Luck!!
TomsHHR 06-04-2007, 08:59 PM Deb, I got a set of covers from Wally World, The top cover is made to remove with the headrest. I had mine on before the new armrests. I have to remove the armrests and put them back on now that they are useable now.
KY Dave 06-05-2007, 11:45 AM Deb,
What about a set of those clear plastic covers that the old cars had?:scared: :scared: :scared:

I'm assuming that the covers they sell at WW in the US would be the same as they do here.
Which ones did you get? Any problems with getting the cover to fit the drivers seat or accessing the power seat controls?

Same question here too. I've looked at Wally World, Checker Auto Parts, Auto Zone and Advance. I don't mind the map pocket being covered up...but I really don't like the idea of the seat controls being covered up either. ...plus, I would really like the headrest pieces to be separate. Looks weird in my opinion to have them stretched over them.
Black Rose 06-05-2007, 02:51 PM The seat covers at the local WW have separate covers for the headrests. If they otherwise fit, would have to cut them for the armrest holes.
