I use Trip B to keep track of how many miles I have gone between oil changes. I had 992 miles on Trip B this morning...about 3/4 of the way to work I was flipping through the computer and saw that Trip B was at 25 miles! :wtf: I know I did not reset this. Does it only go to a 1000 miles and then start over? I would find this VERY odd....manual doesn't mention anything about this at least as far as I could see

Yes thats it! Have you had trips that go higher? My 94 GMC truck is the same and the 99 sub 05 XB all did this.

Ithink after it hits 999 miles it starts over, which would be 1025 miles.
mine just did the same thing driving from Florida to New York, when it hit 999 it started over & ended at 343 miles which is 1343 miles which would be the correct amont of miles for the trip.

The Canadian ones reset automagically at 2,000 kms (about 1,200 miles)
I had also planned on using Trip B to keep track of the OCI. Now I do it on paper.

Does the Canadian one have 4 digits? I just thought the Trip B odometer only had 3 digits and that's why it started over. I never took the Trip A odometer past the mileage of one fill-up. I don't really use the Trip B and wondered why they even put it there. I track when an oil change is needed by the sticker the dealer puts on my car.
That reminds me. I went over 12,000 miles and need to get it to the dealer again!

I think the engineers do not know how to count past 1,000 unless its money!!!!

Why not use the oil life monitoring system that takes your driving habits into account and is far more accurate than a silly 3 month/3000 mile sticker could ever be?

Let's not go there. There are several topics in the general forum on that topic already
