mitzkity 06-07-2007, 12:31 AM We are planning a little trip in August, but maye we can work around this date -- I'll talk to hubby later in the week as he's traveling right now. Thanks for letting us know.
mitzkity 07-11-2007, 02:07 AM To SoCAL people, I spoke to the John at George Chevy, and YES, HNE is absolutely right, they are so great at this Chevy dealership & he's such a nice guy and really wants a good showing of HHRs for this "Classic" Car Show. I know the brochure doesn't seem like it wants to invite "newer" cars, and we talked about this. He says they need to re-do the brochure that it's very misleading and we are very welcome. In fact, there will be little prizes in a category just for us!!
So I will be registering this week and I hope to see some more people strolling in for it. Why not? Good people, good cars, bring the cameras and the WATER!!!
1HotHHR 07-11-2007, 06:50 PM Sounds like fun. Unfortuntly I will be in the Great Smokey Mountains. Enjoying some of the best chicken and dumblings on earth. I hope to met some of the HHR folks in Tennessee. We are going to rent an HHR so we will still fit in.
So ya all have fun at the car show.
See ya down the road

mrjuma 07-11-2007, 10:06 PM worked this time. when i clicked on whats hot, then the event list didn't come up. looks like another trip to ca!
mitzkity 07-12-2007, 02:37 AM Okay, I'm registered. What a horrible little script they are using for that sign-up.
For anyone else who is trying to make it through to the online registration, you gotta go into the calendar, click on August 19th, and then register online. After that, they don't take Paypal, only credit card.
See you there Mr. J.
hnewagn 07-12-2007, 01:55 PM Lakewood will contact you if you reg on-line and get your shirt size and car model and let them know you will be with George Chevy group and chevyhhr.net
chingchonger 07-12-2007, 04:37 PM Can't make it. Conflict of interest. I work for Showcase Chevrolet in Westminster, CA
mrjuma 07-12-2007, 05:11 PM does it really matter if you work for another chevy dealer? i would think what you do on your own time couldn't be conflict of interest.
chingchonger 07-12-2007, 05:50 PM does it really matter if you work for another chevy dealer? i would think what you do on your own time couldn't be conflict of interest.
It's the fact that I SELL at Showcase that matters. George Chevrolet would not be happy if I was promoting Showcase Chevrolet at a George Chevrolet sponsored event.
1HotHHR 07-12-2007, 07:06 PM Did any body think of just showing up and having some fun. I really don't talk about my job or where I work when I'm at an HHR event. I really think some people carry somethings JUST WAY TO FAR. I hope you have fun staying home. Unless Showcase is going to have an event, you could be a very lonely guy. I hope you change your mine and go and just have some fun. Thats what this is all about.
See ya down the road

I wouldn't have a problem attending. George Chevrolet would. That's how car people are. They don't want other dealers on their turf and I could understand that. What do you do for a living? If your situation is unlike mine, then it wouldn't really matter to my statement about the conflict of interest.
By the way, why do you assume I would be staying home? Just because I don't do a particular thing, it would defaults to staying home? Quite the assumption don't you think?
1HotHHR 07-12-2007, 09:24 PM The best I can say is I read what I read and I responded to what was posted. I wish you no harm and please have a happy life and sell lots of HHRs.

sweetmama 07-12-2007, 09:31 PM does it really matter if you work for another chevy dealer? i would think what you do on your own time couldn't be conflict of interest.
My :2cents: Don't see it as a conflict...it's your HHR and your time. Now if you had signs and maybe wore something from your dealer...maybe some would see a conflict but again just my :2cents:
mrjuma 07-12-2007, 09:48 PM you could wear a mask or something. i guess everyone knows everyone in the chevy dealerships in the la area.
1HotHHR 07-12-2007, 10:32 PM I once saw a Pepsi driver drinking a Coke, and then I saw a Coke driver drinking 7up, and then I saw a Coors driver drinking a Bud, and then I saw a gal wearing a McDonals uniform buying a hamburger at In-n-Out. These people just don't know what there doing. Isn't there a professional out there that can help these people. HELP, HELP, HELP I'm trapped in a Ford with my MR. Goodwrench uniform on. HELP,HELP,HELP.
Ya all have a GREAT DAY.
See ya down the road
Bud-Harvey
mrjuma 07-12-2007, 10:38 PM and why are you driving a ford????????????????/
chingchonger 07-14-2007, 11:25 PM The conflict of interest is NOT about where I work, but WHAT I do at my work. So the the Pepsi driver that drinks coke is just a poor comparison.
In my case, I sell HHR's at another dealership. If I go there and talk about my dealership and how they will get a better deal from buying from us instead of George Chevrolet, how do you think George Chevrolet will feel about me being there?
I would directly be messing with somebody's livelihood by taking away their business. How would you feel if you had welcome someone into your home and then allow them to take something from your home?
By the way, for those that don't know, George Chevrolet is one of many dealerships that we compete against so it would be a conflict of interest. If we were dealerships a 100 miles a part, I nor George Chevrolet would give a rat's ass.
1HotHHR 07-14-2007, 11:35 PM Did you ever think about going and JUST KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT about where you work? There is no need to reply. THis could go on, and on, and on, but then again if it goes on long enough maybe I'll come down and buy an HHR from you.
Come on over to DejeVous Rendevous, I really would like to meet you and say hi.
