I dont' see whay owners from Kansas, Texas, and other nearby states couldn't show as well. If you guys can put together something concrete this spring/summer, I'll help you promote it and even try to drive out myself! Maybe we can have the first "HHR FEST" this year!

Well...I can promote it on our website's "Events" page and contact Chevrolet about it. GM might want to promote the heck out of it, bring in Green Day and Van Halen and turn it into a HUGE sucess! You never know...

We live in Southern Oklahoma. I work in the Dallas area though. I'm truly a Texan at heart though, 8th generation Texan by birth, but living in Oklahoma for my sweetheart and her boys. The agreement is, once the boys go off to college we will move back to Texas. However, we just closed on a house last week so who knows what the future holds.

We are a poster family for Chevrolet. My sweetie has an '04 Suburban, I gave my '04 Silverado Extended Cab truck to her 17 yr old and now we have my '06 HHR. I made some mods to the Silverado and I am looking forward to some things coming out for the HHR. Really improved the performance of the 5.3 L V8 on the truck... Hypertech Chip, Duals (Flowmaster), K&N and a throttle body block. Would love to do some of the same for the HHR, with the exception of the Flowmasters. Will probably stay with the single exhaust, but kinda waiting to see what kind of luck others have first.

I've been enjoying the forum here and look forward to reading more from other owners.

Take care

One of the things I am finding out is "When you own an HHR you are never the only one. I am one of the newest on this forum. I spoke to CJ last night and he told me about the "CRUISE IN"( possability) in OKC some time in the near future. Lets have one here at Lake Eufaula! That would be a hoot!!!!!!!!!!
It could happen when we have "Whole Hog Day" here and enter them in the show. That would be a blast. How about we plan a Saturday Cruise and get together.
Or It would be cool to plan a cruise around the lake or to Ft. Smith for lunch.
What ever you boys want to do, count me in.
So here I am in Eufaula, Oklahoma thinking I was the only HHR in town.
Saw a black HHR and some one at the jr high school has a purple one. :thumb: With my silver beast "HHRUMPH" that makes 3.

Whole Hog Day is the last (Saturday Only) week end in July. It would be a blast to see several HHR's there outnumbering the local car clubs entrants. We could show up as "THE OFFICIAL HHR CLUB MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CENTRAL REGION." Oh yea we are. I know CJ would make it from the Dallas area and someone from just north of OK in KS mentioned he would come. I think it would be cool. The only negative thing is in July it is perty warm. It is held in the park next to downtown and it has had as many as 212 cars there from all over the state and several from diferent states. It was a neet little show, but I beleive it has droped off a little with the new president and club members. Several BBQ teams Q either 1/4 pig or 1/2 pig, then at 1700 HRS., thats 5:00 PM for you guys who don't use military time, A cannon is shot off and they give away the pork in the form of sandwiches untill it is all gone. Damn nice BBQ. So If you Guys want to come out it would be "The first annual HHR So. Central Hoot an Holler. or whatever. I'm in for it. Shoot we might even get mike to come out. I would give away something to everyone who shows up for the event.

O.K. guys here is what I need from you who would like to attend the car show on Saturday (July 29).:thumb:
We could plan a cruise and/or dinner on Friday Night if you liked. That would be for those who can come early. It would be a great chance to get to know everyone.
I will call some of the hotel/motels close to Eufaula and check on rates.
This is some of the information I will need.
1. Need names of everyone who intends to make the show. How
many in party. Will you need a room? Smoking/Nonsmoking.

2. I will call the hotels and see if we can't get a groupe rate after I
know how many will need rooms.

It's not much, but It's a start. Open to suggestions. Give me your input.
Phone Number: 918-452-2003.
